Have stage fatalities been confirmed?

Don't think so. But I wouldn't worry, I don't think they're going to make that mistake again. Seeing they listened for the number of stages, I think it's save to assume they listened to the stage fatalities (and maybe (short) stage transitions).

Might they do stage Brutalities instead? Like where one of the interactable elements--such as Cyrax's buzzsaw in the Tekunin lab/factory stage--actually kills the opponent?
I did throw someone in the corner and it rubbed their face all over a cactus which was neat but they also have a stage for almost every character and 21 of them. They probably have so many stages because they dont have stage fatalities and they are bland in a way. I'm really hoping I'm wrong. We haven't seen a lot of the stages yet. Stage transitions... That would be nice.

Don't know what the amount of stages has anything to do with it. Stage fatality's and stage transitions were never on every stage, just where it makes sense. For example the Kollesium and what seems to be the bottom of the Kollesium. The military background that is in the beta and the military base inside where we first saw Johnny Cage.
And I'm pretty sure we'll get another Pit (hopefully). MK isn't MK without a Pit stage :D

There was one stage they were showing off during the Kombat Kast with Liu Kang where spikes were poking up from different places all over the bottom of the stage and also the edge of the stage was spinning blades.
If a stage like that has none- I would be shocked.
I'm sure they're in there. Every MK has them.
Deadly Alliance didn't have any. That was kinda weird.

That was due to time constraints and so long ago.
But yeah it was jarring- especially considering ACID BATH -
Such a badass arena, with an awesome design, yet no stage fatality? I was angry they never rectified it and brought it back for Deception/Armageddon complete with a death trap.
I hope this is one arena they bring back in a future game and do it justice.

I am sure they will. They took the time and added em in to X, as well as usually having them there in most other MKs. The real question for me is.....
What are the mercies for? Animalities? Or something brand new altogether?

I'm still hoping and waiting to find out that Quitalities are now Hara Kiri's

As I've had many people disconnect on me during the beta, I would love for hara kiris to happen during dcs!

MKX also didn't had the original Stage Fatalities. First after a patch we had three Stage Fatalities. So I hope they have stage fatalities in MK11. Some stages beg for it like Colloseum and Shaolin Temple.(don't know the original stage name).
Think it was called Shaolin Trap Dungeon or something like that on the Kombat Kast this week
