Steam update on Premium Pack

First post in a long while....Dusting off the account and settling in for the new MK 11. Some news I wanted to share that I came across. According to Steam's site the premium pack will be set to include the following:
The Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition includes:
• Main Game
• Kombat Pack

The Kombat Pack includes:
• 6 new DLC playable characters
• 1 week early access to DLC characters
• 7 Skins
• 7 sets of gear

Now the physical games (ps4 and xbox one) will have a steel book as well.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it will have season passes like Killer Instinct?

Is it still a "pre-order", if I buy the game in the middle of April, a couple of days before its release date?

Yes but some games require you to pre order before a certain date to receive the free content

You should pre-order asap for the beta.

I am not interested in the beta, so I can wait.

I am buying the PC version. so no beta for me. I'm not rushing my pre-order, hoping for the announcement of a disc version for my Kollecton. So far they confirmed only digital distribution. Hopefully, my waiting will not cause the loss of the preorder bonus. Man, will I be pissed!

You can usually pre order the same day the game comes out, I do it with every single game i buy including red dead redemption 2. Be careful for pre orders selling out though (although I dont think gaming has that popularity with any video games in a long time). You get the code on the receipt. Question though, this game has a gear system now? Edit: yea already stated the obvious though with the one week early beta, pre order sooner than that for that stuff, Im just doing it for shao khan.

Yes, pre-orders are any date before the game releases. Even one day before the release date is a pre-order.

My guess is there will be 2 Kombat Packs over time, each consisting of 2 guests and 4 MK folks.

This is what I have my fingers crossed for. That could mean 40+ characters total. Plus unlike most people I like guest characters and I want 4 of them instead of just 2.

I have a feeling it will be 3 guests and 3 MK characters who will be released interchangeably. I think it's safe to say Pennywise, Michael Myers and Spawn have a high chance of making it into the game eventually. The other 3 characters will have a female along the lines of Sindel, Sheeva, Mileena. Then high chance of a classic character from the trilogy era and another male or female 3D character.

I love all the previous talk, though I can't just sit here and not mention someone who'd be perfect as a guest role in the new MK. John Constantine. Specifically as portrayed currently on TV. He's fought all kinds of otherworldly beings and would make for an excellent caster. Plus WB owns DC if I'm not mistaken? Hell, I'd probably main him outta fun and I clearly adore Ermac.
