From what I have seen of the leaks, the Krypt isn't accessible yet, and requires the day 1 patch (which no one has yet, even if they do have the game, because it is not yet April 23)

Allegedly unlocking Frost also requires the Day 1 patch, which is why none of her customization or gear is out there yet.

This would make sense, the leaker said he was going to do story mode to unlock her but nothing came to fruition as of yet.

Why exactly? Every single game has day one patch, that doesn't mean you can't play the game if you can't download it. You just can't play online.

Yeah but if it says it requires a network connection to play, how can anyone who doesnt have internet even download a patch to unlock or play.

Then that's the same as if it requires 16GB of RAM on PC but you only have 4GB. You just can't play it then so you don't buy it. Simple.

As far as I know, MK11 doesn't require network connection to play.

The Krypt is on disc. It's just locked out at the moment. They probably knew some retailers would break street date, so that is probably their failsafe for people not being able to access everything.
It wouldn't make sense to not put content on the disk that is finished and available from the start.

A portion of the game is gated off behind a net connection. Pretty shitty.

That's not true i have an early Copy.. 6 days before Release now..and i got an update after i put the game disc in my Ps4.. Its less than 2GB... Don't know if it is the only patch to start with.

Well to all, buy the game just for the Krypt allone it's amazing. It is an adventure game, within MK11. O and The Pit II stage is in the Krypt.

Adventure game in what way? A combat system? Simple hack and slash mobile crap like in MKX? Do you just walk around and sift through graveyards and chests like in the old games only with a visible avatar this time?

Yeah, it looks cool, kind of an adventure game with puzzles. The only thing that got me worried though is that I'm now hearing the content of the chests are randomized and there is even something to "turn back time" and reset a chosen amount of chest filled with new content. And as said, you mostly get those consumables and such and nowhere to know where a chest is that unlocks a certain skin.

I like the krypt, but I'm not liking the fact that the contents of the chests are randomized. I do hope these are just "traps" they used knowing the official release date would be broken and that on the 23rd, they flip a switch and everything works better.

There are puzzles to unlock, items to find to open your path further. Like in the beginning you get Shao Kahn's hammer which you can use to smash certain walls, to find other stuff which unlock something else. Some puzzles can kill you.
It's very nice. Great atmosphere.

It's alright dude. Thanks for letting me know. Looks like they are slowly, oh so slowly inching their way back to a sort of Konquest mode. I always found it odd how you would play Konquest in Deception, open chests to then unlock the key to unlock the chest in the krypt. Would have just made more sense to combine the two.

I played now a little bit in the krypt and I am concerned about how long it will take to unlock everything. Like said before there is a ton of consumables and "stones" for your gear... It gonna take months... :(

But I won't show a video not because i am scared of being banned or whatever but for taking you the experience away. It is a huge different to see it on YT in shitty quality or on your own TV. It just looks gorgeous to see itwith your own eyes. Only a few days left now. But I am really surprised they won't sell MK11. In germany almost every store selling the game. Really strange.

That's true. I only watched a bit of it, because I wanted to see how it was set-up. And it is done really nice. It's just not chests, it's other stuff to which the streamer didn't know how to unlock. But it seems multi-layered and a great mini-adventure.
Although I think I'm going to spend a lot of time in there and enjoying it, I'm hoping it doesn't become a grindfest to get all the interesting stuff.
