What did you guys think of the music in-game thus far?

Its kind of annoying to find a video without commentary but I came across a pretty good one. This video has probably some of the best audio from the videos I can find on YouTube currently. It also has a good chunk of the menu music and I'm LOVING it.

RE: "Its kind of annoying to find a video without commentary"

I know right! Every dingus with a youtube account think I want to hear their (same as the last guy) thoughts and opinions. When I'm looking for footage of a new release I'm like, "Dude! Shut up, I'm trying to hear the intros!"

Alright, alright, alright, I'm being mean... I know there's something to be said for getting reviews and feedback out there for people, and it's nice to hear at times... but some of these guys need to learn when to shut-up and just let the footage play.

Lovely.

Every character comes out and assists with their respective special, but they arent in the game demo yet so their special move by itself gets thrown out. All of the consumables had assistance only from the demo characters while the others were just special move. You might have spoiled that Cyrax and reptile are in the game. But the shinnok arm throws me off so idk.

Game has def more sound varitiety than MKX.

There is a lot of Chinese tones here and there and Shang Tsung's island track has potential.

Sounding better than MKX(barely had music) but will wait and reassess whether it's good or not.

Well the menu music sounds as generic as it has since MK9. Basic frantic string work that has plagued western entertainment ever since Hans Zimmer received undue praise from his work in inception; but with some nice oriental instrumental flourishes, so it's not a complete loss. It just once again doesn't suit Mortal Kombat.

However, that arena music is very much fitting of an MK game. That's music I would expect to hear in MKDA or MK1 if they were able to achieve such sound fidelity back then. (SNES sure came the closest.)

It's still a far cry from how I would like MK to be scored these days; I'm all about that Mick Gordon action or retro MK3 to MK4 stuff, but this will do. It sure beats the orchestral white noise of MKX or the worst tracks in MK9. Looking at you Clocktower, Graveyard and Soul Tomb.

I just heard the menu... Really loving the MK1/2 Oriental beats.

Awesome!

I really like the main menu music. It has a thriller/scary/serious and ominous tone. I always felt mk should feel that way.
