I agree we should be able to change skins at the select screen. I miss that.

I got a skin for Johnny Cage for buying the kollector's edition. But I can't just pick him and choose that skin on the select screen, I have to save that skin to a loadout in the customization area and now I'm stuck with that skin until I change the loadout again. Such a clunky design.

Just create 3 same variations, with the moves you like (copy and paste your favorite variation 3 times in the customization mode) and then just put different skins on them. Everything else will be the same. and BOOM you have same loadouts with different skins/costumes on your select screen.

I haven't tried this yet because I do not have all of someone's individual skins and items, but "supposedly" and we now know what Netherrealm means when they say this...but you can have an unlimited amount of loadout customizations according to one of their previous Kombat Kasts. But since they technically lied about the microtransactions in the game, I doubt this is true too.

I like the system but I wish you could mix and match a bit more. Like Jade's revanant outfit with human skin etc. Also there are to much skins that are too similar with a different color sceme. Color customization should be a different option.

The trouble I have with it is so many skins which are just color variations and make the menu convoluted. They should just let you pick a skin in one window and the color scheme in another window. That way, you have to scroll a lot less and have a better view on which are all the skins.

In MKX, the gear was always set to the variation, so I don't have any trouble with that. But indeed, maybe they need to adress the skins and color schemes to the character select screen.

I agree a little. This game is turning out to be like Injustice. Sad thing is I am wandering why give so many different character colors of the same outfit and so many different options to choose from making it nearly impossible to make all versions.

I guess I prefer the old way, but I don't mind it too much. It's way better than what we got in Injustice 2, where you have different pieces of armor, and some of really incentivize you into putting a matched set together, except some of them are so rare that you can't ever complete the actual set. This isn't the best version of the alternate costume system, but it's a step away from the wrong direction, I would say. Plus the kosmetic options don't reflect your character's performance or stats, so you don't have to worry about equipping a skin you dislike just to get good stats.

The thing that really made me happy is that from what I've seen most if not all skins are available offline. That is, without playing against human opponents, which means no more things like Hot Shots Johnny Cage, or Revenant Kung Lao or Liu Kang, where you have to win online matches to earn those skins. I still don't have them in MKX. :(

Now were just getting 10 or more color-swap of one costume. And they are ugly as hell, why a green or red Sub Zero / Scorpion?

NRS needs to make 4 different costumes per character and let us color that costume to our taste, but the colors must stay true to the character.

If else its character-assassination...

And NRS needs to upload reimagined oldskool costumes over time. MK2 and MKDA and MK9.

I love the idea of old costumes coming back. Imagine Shredder Subby from Deception, or JC's outrageous lion door knocker belt from DA. I'd buy 'em.

Please don't say you'd BUY them. You'd like them as part of a Kombat Pack or for them to be unlockable.

Yeah you should be able to do kustomise in select screen.

I’d prefer in towers of time/Krypt if you were given the reward to select a skin rather than they allocate.

Mixing matching pants and tops would be cool too.

I personally do not like all the customizing. I think it's a waste. And why so many color options? Not necessary. I do not need Jade or Scorpion in every single color.
