Take the roster from MK9 and MKX and add on four new characters (Returning and neglected 3D characters or 100% new.)

If I had it my way though, those 4 empty slots would be filled with Shujinko, Kira, Mokap, Onaga. Oh hell two more just for kicks. Li Mei and Fujin.

Yeah it would be huge but that's NRS's problem.I just want consistency. Learn to pace yourselves when it comes to introducing new characters NRS.

And if anyone is going to say "But in the story Shinnok is just a head ect" well in the story Scorpion isn't a supernatural hellspawn anymore and Goro doesn't have arms, but alas that didn't stop Scorpion from roasting people with flames or Goro from throwing all four of his fists did it?

I still believe Kronika will be a separate slot next to Geras and we will get 26 characters incl. Shao Kahn. Then I still hold out hope that Kano will only be in the background and Cassie will only make a story appearance and we will get none of the kids since it's a time travel story and they didn't exist + they did nothing for me. Erron & Ferra can stay dead too. Ideally I'd like to see Kai, but we know he won't be in.

bo'rai cho will not be dlc again as ed has said he will not make us pay for the same dlc people

my roster would be bring back everyone (minus some characters that were useless like hsu hao, kobra, mokap, ferra/torr, drahmin, dairou,darrius) add the new people they are adding to mk11 and just remove guest characters (i don't really hate the guest, but just make the dlc mk people)

I know that Boon mentioned it, but the question was "what is YOUR ideal character roster?" and not "which roster is realistic for MK11?" :-)

My favorite characters.

It's tough to balance new, MKX, 3D, and 2D era characters for the ideal roster. I would choose only one additional brand new character for this game; I would make it a new Black Dragon character to replace Kano; maybe his often-mentioned but never-seen son. After some thought, I would bring back the Kombat Kids; I think NRS needs to commit to this new generation of fighters; they can't back out after taking the plunge. I would leave out Kenshi and reluctantly Jax, as I think his character has earned himself a good retirement; it's time to accept that some of the older folks are finally retiring. I would include Jade since she was one of the most demanded characters and we need to know what happened to her in MKX. I would include Ermac and Noob Saibot as the two other ninjas in this game. I would leave Reptile for DLC, as we already have one savage/jobber character with Baraka. Other than that, I just filled the remaining slots with characters that I want to see; I included six potentials DLC spaces for characters that I do want, but aren't essential.
