I think his only chance coming back as Noob. Maybe mentioned as sub zero in some short backstory for the new sub zero but thats all what I think. If he is gonna make it in the game, I rather could see him as Noob before he got kicked in the soulnado, and in the new timeline somehow he managed to survive storywise. But thats all I guess

I doubt it. If anything he'll be a story mode NPC and nothing more. I never really get the love people have for him when he only serves to be an origin for two superior characters.

That's not to say I wouldn't be all for a new adventure game featuring him or a remake of Mythologies that would maybe actually give us a little more meat to Bi Han other than him just being the meaner older brother; but for the time being, like Jason Todd and Gwen Stacy he serves the story better dead.

I wouldn't mind seeing him make a return and show more in detail his past. Be cool to see him fight as Sub-Zero against himself (Noob).

I feel like... I hear this discussion in the lead up to every Mortal Kombat game, and I've just become some jaded to it that it makes me roll my eyes.

Before every game someone suggests "Maybe it's the original Sub-Zero this time!" and it NEVER is... Kuai Liang is clearly NRS preferred Sub-Zero, and I don't see them undoing it.

THAT SAID... I realize that's not exactly what the OP is saying, so I'm not trying to bust your chops. I agree, it does make more sense in the context of time travel for Bi-Han to appear if Noob does. It could create some neat moments. And who knows? He may. That said, I don't know that it NEEDS to happen.

But we've already seen Sub-Zero has a scar, which suggests the primary Sub-Zero, at least, is still Kuai Liang.

Yeah I’m not suggesting Kuai should not be the primary sub zero. Kuai fulfills the role of sub zero splendidly. He is what I imagine a great grandmaster to be in every way. Fair, true, and powerful.

I just think that having Bi Han in storymode, in some fashion, could prompt some pretty cool scenarios for a lot of characters.. (Sub Zero, Noob, Frost, Scorpion)

If Noob is in the game, we will almost definitely see Bi-Han before he is Noob, given the whole time travel thing. If Noob isn't in the game there is little to no chance Bi Han will even be mentioned.

It would be interesting to see how this plays out in terms of costumes/skins if Noob is in.

Will there be a Bi-Han skin for SZ, or a Bi Han skin for Noob?

I was expecting an Easter egg bi-han skin for noob with a classic blue outfit but the face and arms being shadow and the eyes glowing or a subzero skin as well simply with a different human face and no scar. Noob saibot needs a face anyway so they could use that likeness mold. Also bi-han was mentioned in MKX and not In the game so anything is possible with the time travel to take full advantage of a bunch of easter eggs and a bunch of skin sales for the game. That needs to happen. I would of course always prefer liang to be the subzero for the game.

Yes
