Has anyone else experienced that the music is too low? The hits are very loud when fighting, even the announcer's voice is insanely loud, but you can hardly hear what the fighters are saying in their intro's. Even the dialogue in story mode is hard to hear.

When I'm playing, my TV volume is at 70% (no, I'm not deaf). I played this game on two TV's, one at my house and one of my friend's. Neither of us could hear what they were saying in story mode. Their voices are up and down most of the time. Then when I have to fight the characters, the music cranks up so loud that I have to keep adjusting my volumes between fights and the cut scenes.

A huge issue I must say I have with this is that there's no subtitle feature, unless I missed and overlooked the option somewhere? It's crazy that for a casual gamer like myself, I feel treated like a hearing impaired person trying to play this game.

I'm hoping there'll be a patch to correct this.

I've never heard of anyone else having these problems, but you could try to adjust the sound in the options menu. They have different balances for voices, music, sounds, etc.

I tried doing that, but it barely makes a difference for the music. I've actually seen several posts about the same issue.

There actually are subtitles. But only for story mode.

Its somewhere in options. Sorry that I can't remember specifics.

Lower everything else to like half-way.

For the endings too but the subtitles in this game tend to mess up.

I only noticed the subtitles messing up in story mode during the cutscene between Nightwolf's fights with Cyrax and Sektor, other than that it was fine for me.

Only subtitle problem I've run across is the timing during character endings. The subtitles seem to lag behind what's being said by a few seconds.

Yeah, I think the volume tends to be on the low side. You can adjust everything to your liking, but I still have to crank up the volume on my system. And I have mine hooked up to a dolby digital system.

But my main concerns about the audio is that it stutters from time to time. I had it already on several occasions where I would think my game was going to crash. The stuttering is really annoying.

Subtitles seem to be laggy indeed. The timing in general is a bit of. And at the end of the story mode, the subtitles are just black.

There are a lot of bugs in this game they really need to sort out.

yes the BG music is set lower than the sound effects, you can adjust it in the options. a big disappointment for me is that shao kahn doesn't laugh or say "WELL DONE" / "SUPERB" anymore after a combo or uppercut..... why NRS!!!

The story mode audio is much lower than the fighting audio. I have to turn it up during cutscenes and turn it back down for fighting, the mixing is messed up.

My problems

- Some times characters dont speak their lines at the beggining of the battle.

- Some times the game freezes, forcing me to reset.

- Also, I noticed that in the end of Story Mode the subtitle color goes black instead of white. Also happened in the credit screen. It was white in the beginning, now its black.

- Music is low, but I turn it to the max and leave the others in the middle. I prefer that way.

i def have the same problem with sound cutting in and out when the characters are talking. Several times while playing ladder or vs mode with sonya her win pose would mess up. The dude says blade report, and sonya will just mouth the words mission accomplished with no sound. Oh and twice when I beat the game with a character the whole ending had no sound. I had to go into the gallery thing and rewatch it to hear it.

had this problem in Story Mode.

Music low. Dialog is low even though it's set on default to be high, lol wut? Everything else super loud as shit. What I did was made the sound effects very low and other things related to that, low. I forgot the exact name of the options. I just remember that I made everything low but the dialog and I cranked the music up.

Yup, I have my audio up very loud and adjusted my settings. Certain lines in the story mode are extremely low and you can barely hear them. I'm also upset that the music is pretty low even when putting it up all the way. All this time was put into the soundtrack, you'd think they'd want to show it off more.

The music is never noticable unless you turn everything else down and the music way up. And it's even worse on a hot day when I have to put my horrendously loud air conditioner on.

You know what's also bad? Trying to hear the game over the loud vents from the XBOX. lol. I have the first gen model so it's loud as hell.

Man, you reminded me...my fat PS3 is loud as fuck too. Makes these audio problems even worse.

Aside from questionable mixing, the only audio problem I had was stuttering in Mileena's intro during End Game.

Which sucks, considering how many times I had to play through the damn thing. I couldn't skip the intro when it stuttered, and hearing "Let us let us let us let us dance!" got really old.

One thing I noticed is when I win a match with Sonya and she does her victory stance you hear a voice on the com say something like "sonya report" and Sonya doesnt say anything back. I can see her mouth movie but hear nothing. :S
