i just dont understand how that wasnt a total violation of the mortal kombat tournament rules. if shao kahn can just stroll up to somebody whose back is turned from him and snap his neck, why cant raiden just lightning-zap the fucker whilst he's sat in his throne?


Cause he's not allowed to fight unless directly challenged. Rule of the gods or whatever. Plus it wasn't really an official match... right?

exactly, it wasnt an official fight. but it kinda undermines the entire tournament when shao kahn just kills somebody without challenging them at all. i mean, why dont the earthrealm warriors all just run up and kill shao kahn all at once?
