I've always pegged Jade as more neutral than good or evil. Kabal was never necessarily good, but also neutral. Same with Ermac.

Sindel was evil in MK3 but she was also brainwashed.

Cyrax was programmed to be evil. Sektor was evil without programming.

Goro never should've been anything BUT evil.

I consider Raiden's MK1 ending to be proof that the MK team had no idea what they were doing until MKII.

Cyrax should be Good (I hate it when black guys play the bad role)
Jade should be Good (Because she's Kitana's best friend)
Kabal should be Good (He's too tragic to be Bad)
Sektor should be Bad
Raiden should be Both (I love it when he's unpredictable, so much power)
Liu Kang should be Both (He can work both ways, could be interesting)
Kung Lao should be Bad (For a change, I see him as a hardass rival to Liu)
Subzero should be Bad sometimes Good (Cause he's coldblooded lol)
Scorpion should be Neutral (A lone wolf, the tortured soul living a tragedy)
Rain should be Good (I like it when it rains)
Smoke should be Neutral (Similar to Scorpion, but has purpose as the LK)
Sheeva should be Bad (She could be a rebel, I'd like that)
Goro should be Good (He has a heart)
Kintaro should be Bad (Straight up scary, but sexy skin)
Stryker should be Good (Cop on a mission)

Evil, Good, far too black and white. When it comes to alignments in MK, I find that most of the characters are usually made of many shades of grey.

I agree with this post here look at scorpion for example he remained neutral after he killed sub zero. or possibly kabal

Well, I expect characters to go back to their original alignment and then change back to what they are supposed to be:

I'd like Sindel, Cyrax, and Goro to start evil again and then go back to good.

I'd like Ermac and Jade to go through a deep inner turmoil before switching from bad guys to good. I never perceived them as a truly "Shang Tsung-evil" character.

Kabal should have NEVER gone to Evil. That was so annoying and disappointing in MKD. It was so unnecessary.

Only if it makes sense this time for Sindel to remain evil. It would kinda be hard to make that work, especially if Kitana is around. Unless Kitana some how doesnt find out about Edenia or whatever. Which seems unlikely for some reason.

Kabal going evil made me doubt NRS cared much for him at the time. I hope he's good. He reminds me more of the character Darkman another badass. I don't want him to be the typical deformed villian, like Deadpool, Darth Vader, or Cobra Commander from G.I. Joe. I laughed so hard when I heard that voice in the live action Rise of Cobra video. It went from bad to worst.

I've always thought Kitana should have been a Vegeta-type character. She hates Shao Kahn for what he has done to her, her realm, and her mother, but she doesn't necessarily have to LIKE the Earthlings. I mean, she's ben an assassin for untold millenia. I find it hard to believe that she can suddenly turn into a kind, just, regal princess. Ultimately, I wouldnt mind seeing an Earthrealm/Edenia feud.

Cyrax - good or neutral; he hunts down Sub-Zero because he was programmed to/ loyalty to his clan; not because of anything malicious

Jade - good; same reasoning as you stated

Kabal - neutral or evil; his clan seems to be evil but not directly involved with the MK tourney evil character

Sektor - neutral or evil; same as Cyrax for clan loyalty but also has that whole betrayal aspect that could make him evil and turn on his clan through corrupt programming.

Raiden - this is really a toss up... starts good but then... ???

Liu Kang - good; he's the main character after all but if he were evil i would hope it would be through a fascinating story of corruption/inner turmoil

Kung Lao - good; his personality [outside of MKSM] gives me no reason to think otherwise

Sub-Zero - good; everything we've seen of him points to this, besides... Noob is the evil brother.

Scorpion - neutral; his motivations never really involve the MK tourney's good or evil characters

Rain - ???; his character never really got that much attention and in the games he was in had him in both positions... kinda.

Smoke - good or neutral; i see him as more tied with Sub-Zero and he'll probably get the Jade treatment and go with his friend before breaking out on his own and chosen warrior status gives him a more good alignment and clan loyalty could make him more neutral

Sheeva, Goro, Kintaro; evil or neutral; Goro is tied with Shao Khan and Shang Tsung and i would think that members of his clan would follow their prince and all, again unless there is some character development that allows one of them to break free

Stryker - good or neutral; chosen warrior status makes him good, the whole vigilante cop thing could make him stray from the straight and narrow path and make him more neutral

I'd like to see some alignment changes happen if Raiden is to change things really. It'd be cool to see a character who's never been good before now in Raiden's side.
