I stress out and make silly mistakes while playing online sometimes, let alone in a tourney scene with people fuckin watchin me. You didn't sound to bugged by it but that shit would stress me out like crazy. And if your ever able it'd be cool to see some of your games but I realize they most likely don't exist.

Are there any videos of this tournament, like on youtube or whatnot? I'd love to see that ChrisG VS. Michaelangelo (sp i know), seems like an epic match up. But any videos of this tournament period would be cool, not just the finals.

And wtf happend to Tom Brady? I JUST bought his living guide for my smart phone and its full of useful shit, but he didn't even make it out of the pools?? I wonder what player/character beat em.

His guide is amazing. You don't need to be the best player to be a good teacher and to make a great guide. (but he still is awesome at this game). Consider all the time he had to spend on characters other than his mains for that guide where other guys only play with one character all the time. Puts his performance in perspective a bit.

The one character that I saw a lot of that I didn't expect was Kitana. A lot of people doing some sick things with her--she has an extra element of danger because you cannot break during certain parts of her combos that use the fan throw (and most of her combos use MANY fan throws).

There is a tournament in VA on July 16th that I may end up attending. Also, Evo is at the end of July, which I will definitely be attending--I'm really excited for Evo--there's going to be some great play going on!

Everyone should definitely try to check out those finals and T.Brady matches that WhereThereIsSmoke posted--thanks for the links.

^ Cool that Kitana's popularity is rising at tourney play, she's one of my faves. Maybe Konqrr's Top3 performance at the ReveLAtions tourney helped that.

Going to Evo? Awesome! I'm a bit sad since I won't be able to watch any streams of it as I won't have access to computer during my summer vacation. I'll just search for the recorded footage later, in August.

I am tired of hearing how Online monsters wouldn't do well in tournaments though, Some of these people just can't afford to travel... Or just don't have an interest in that aspect of the scene.

Saw this one guy in a king of the hill room on XBOX LIVE, ( A F0xy Gramdpa )
This kid has the scariest Kitana I have ever seen. I had just beaten one of the top 10 players on the boards. It was a close match, And a fun one because he mains Jade. ( Maybe you know who I'm referring to ) However, He left immediately ( Won't mention his name, Maybe he desynced ) I was soon disposed of in my next match, Facing one of the best Raidens I had ever come across, GT was something like Daija, But not exact. ( My bubble was burst ) Then I got to witness this Kitana destroy him and every one else in the room until it desynced. ( Thank god, I was actually scared ) This Grandpa kid has the sickest Kitana anyone has ever seen, Believe me. Noticed today he is 3rd on the boards for total matches played. Play him, If you want to see some Kit craziness.

^ I'm on PS3 plus the game has that stupid region lock so I wouldn't be able to play him anyway since I'm in Europe. But that's awesome to hear, maybe he'll show up at one of the tourneys, I'd love to see him, or maybe there are clips of him playing online on YT. Btw, I got crushed numerous times online lol, there was an insane Reptile player that demolished me earlier on and a Kung Lao player brutalized me the other day lol.

I agree that the tourney players are a bit unfair towards the online portion. Like you said, not everyone has money to travel and some are just not interested and that's perfectly fine.

As for Mikey, I was so sad to hear that he's not planning to go to as many tourneys after Evo. I mean, I totally understand the guy, but it's just that he has won so many fans with his Kabal, especially after he proved himself by winning majors even after they removed Kabal's block infinite. Aside from him and OnlineTony there aren't any "big" Kabal players as far as I know. Plus, he's a hardcore MK fan (MK dragon tattoo)!!!
