While I do agree that it sucks that Johnny or Mileena can't do their full fatality on him, I believe the way that Kratos acts against Ermac after being shrunk is his nature.
He's all like : "You're big and I'm small. Big deal!" And gets smashed.
Don't forget that he has defeated titans and Gods. Battling colossal opponents is no biggie for him. He was just unlucky this time.
