A diorama with 4 characters would be nice! Sonya and Johnny doing special moves against Kano and Goro -also doing special moves-. If not, 8 characters -4 good, 4 evil- facing each other in their vs pose.

We do have to agree on which part of the MK line we would like to settle. The pyramid idea is pretty cool too!

@queve: I agree with Mojo about costs; hell, I don't even know if 100 people are going to be able to commit to a downpayment no matter how small an amount it is. Scaling down in size and in detail the diorama also seems to detract from the from the awesomeness of dioramas; making epic scenes with miniscule details fleshing the whole thing out.

@ProphecY_308: This should be unique; this should be one of a kind but I feel if we start getting caught up in the nitty-gritty, we'll never come to a consensus. 5 solid ideas (I think we have some already) and then we start tinkering from there.

I would *love* for the MKO special edition to be bookends,
one featuring more or less what you describe,
the other featuring Skarlet forming out of blood, with her swords drawn.

It'd be cool to see characters that are essentially fan creations become the inspiration for this fan-requested Special Edition.

Make that x7. I'd go with his win pose from MK9 where they both are in fighting poses back to back. Instant buy for me and I'm not even a huge Noob fan. That diorama however would require IMMEDIATE purchase from me.

Hi we are in the process now of making a Kitana statue... and yes we can post to Australia...

I have a feeling people will commit to this one once we reach a decision. It's going to be something special and unique and hopefully fans will be wise to appreciate the opportunity.

I think it's important to get caught in the nitty-gritty, sometimes. Some people have suggested ideas here for characters that we already know will be featured in their own (such as the Kenshi, Sub, and Noob Saibot ones) and it looks like some others are just posting their favorites names without fully understanding what this special opportunity means. It feels like a waste of an opportunity, imo.

I think most fans would benefit from an idea that features at least 2 characters (or even 3, its really not out of the question), a statue that is not huge/big (to definitely make the cost more accessible), and to feature a background that, if too expensive, should be kept at the minimum but still pretty.

The MK2011 bookends of Scorpion and Sub-Zero can be one example of a "kind of" Diorama. We should see the bigger picture in all of this, I think.

Good news is, they are definitely thinking about making her in her alternate costume. Syco said so. Not 100% confirmed yet.

Sonya. Sonya Sonya Sonya, please. We've never gotten a decent Sonya-anything.

Sonya on a rooftop, with Kano charging at her with his knives, while she's in a strong stance - her pink energy rings shooting out around her hand. Kano is at the edge of the roof, suggesting this is going to be a fatal blow against him - an iconic moment in MK history.

It's classic story-wise, and never been done before. We've never been able to actually SEE that scene. It'd also be cheaper than a collection of a dozen characters in some elaborate set. All of the ninjas have had their time in the spotlight. It's Sonya's turn, please.

Kitana’s MK2 win pose, I always liked that pose.

Mileena attacking Kitana in the Flesh Pits would be really cool. Perhaps Mileena with her legs around Kitana's waist, gripping her sai above her like in her Leaping NeckBite move.

I would love to see a statue of Noob Saibot performing his wishbone fatality on Johnny Cage.

OOOHHHMMYYYYGOOOOODDDD!!! AWESOMEST IDEA EVER!!!!! They both can be in their MK3 outfifts (or MK4 SOnya would be good too!), and a gargoyle can be behind Kano, suggesting he's already on the edge of the rooftop!!! This is a true and klassic moment in MK's history!!! I REALLY would love to see this! ANd most importantly, I WOULD definitely buy it!!! The other statues we've seen have AMAZING detail and sculpting, I'm sure Sonya would look gorgeous and great!!! I VOTE FOR THIS IDEA!!!!!!

And yeah, c'mon, the ninjas always get 24 figures!! ANd also true we have never EVER gotten anything decent in regards to Sonya! She's either not made or looks like a dude!!!

Not getting mad at anyone, or calling anyone out, but try and think a little outside the realm of "My favorite character".

As they have said, they will most likely do the whole roster, so I think it is important that MKO has something a little more special than a character of your liking.


I have just thought of something new, a small version of the pyramid (or a small top half of the pyramid) with Raiden and Shao Kahn fighting.

Think about it, that is the most important event in MK history at this point.

I think Johnny holding a figurine of himself would be awesome.
Skarlet apearing out of a puddle of blood would also look cool, like maybe with only part of her having risen out of the ground.
Reptile pouring acid down someone's throat, or Kano's heart thrust.
A Kitana and Sub-zero pair-up would be sweet, maybe as a red vs blue kind of thing with them facing Ermac and Skarlet.

Some ideas thrown out, but I especially think the Johnny idea would be cool, or anything with Kitana.

How about they have the Mortal Kombat logo(dragon and all) with Shao Kahn leaning on it with his hammer at his side. OR, he can be shown using his hammer to smash the logo into pieces or just about to smash it into pieces.

The rooftop battle between Sonya and Kano sounds like a really good idea to me. She could be kicking him off the edge while he has a chunk of her hair in his fist as he's about to fall over.

Another idea that just popped into my head is the battle between Shang Tsung and Liu Kang in the throne room. Specifically, Liu would be delivering the finishing blow to Shang with his flying kick and defeating him.

Hey I think this is a great idea The base could be the top of the pyramid and then the two of them, Riden about to shoot his electricity bolts out of his hands and Shao Khan with his hammer raised and about to strike.

The pyramid could be crumbling underneath their weight.....
