Want-
1. Sareena- she deserves something, she has a great storyline and some fast moves. Why NRS has overlooked this character many times is pretty sad.
2. Rain- He needs to be in an actual main game and not an update or DLC. They need to stop making him a "joke" character. I honestly wonder if NRS studios cares for this character and im guessing they only put him as DLC cuz we demanded it.
3. Fujin- Now that Raiden did his best to fix the MKtimeline its time for Fujin to step into the plate and "guide" some sense into Raiden.\
4. Liu Kang- Its not that I want this character, but his ending and storymode makes him a really great revenge character now. What if his ending became canon? That would be really interesting.
5. Khameleon- I still go by the fact that she can help a certain Zaterran creature expand on their bland storyline, but i doubt she'll make it in another MK game and if she does she'll most likely be DLC.

Don't want( as playable, they can be in storymode, but not the main roster)-
1. Any of the characters who are controlled by Quan Chi at the moment, maybe one or two just to get that experience of being controlled by someone( think MKU Kitana and Jax)
2. New Characters- we need some characters that were just created or been in the game since the 90s to get their stories expanded. DLC is ok.

For the next game i only want:

Worst: Shang Tsung, all the female ninjas(I suck with them), Quan Chi, Sheeva

Characters who should be in MK10: Noob, Havik, Liu Kang, Fujin, Tanya, Rain, the dead heroes from MK9(toward the end of Story Mode)
Characters that I don't want: Sheeva, Stryker, Kabal(nothing against Stryker and Kabal)

This is an easy answer.

As one who plays for the *fighting* much, much more than the story,
I want EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER from MK9 to return.

Even if the characters are dead, story-wise, they still need to be on the roster, IMO. MK's tendency to kill off characters (and remove them from the game for a while) is beyond frustrating, as I hate getting good with a character, only to have them not return in the next game. Street Fighter is *very* good about this, SF3 aside. They learned from that gamble and likely won't repeat it.

IMO, the engine should stay 90% the same,
ALL the cast from MK9 should be playable,
and they should add new (and old) characters to the fray.

My favorite character in Standalone MK9 (not counting DLC or we know who wins!) is Smoke, which shocked me because he's *never* been a favorite of mine. I also love Kitana, Ermac, and Reptile, but those guys have been in my heart for quite a while now

There are characters I like much more than others, but there are very few I don't want back. I'd gladly have Kobra return so I could kill him again. All those fatalities, special moves and X-rays I didn't get to unleash on him, so sad.

As i don't think they'll remove many charachters for the next game, i'll list the charachters i think should or definitely will be in it:


Scorpion: We all know why

Sub-zero: Idem, but the cuesion here is if we'll see him as Bi Han or as Kuai Liang.

Quan Chi: Is there any doubt about it?

Raiden: Still having some visions. I would like him to kill Shujinko during Storymode in order to prevent Onaga's return, wich i hope happens anyways, during MK10. I would like him to show more of his dark side, and revives Lia Kang as a zombie again out of desperation.

Liu Kang: Revived by Raiden

Fujin: Aiding Raiden, trying to control him when he begins showing signs of madness

Kai: Being more fond of Fujin than Raiden.

Jonnhy Cage: I would love they forget about the "last guy of some sort of superhumans" story and gave him a story helping Raiden

Sonya: I would love if they forget about the "traumatized by the death of her dad" story and just gave her a story similar to the MKDA one.

Reptile: With a similar story to the one he had in MKDA

Millena: The "daughter" of Shao Khan is trying to defeat Reiko's (or whoever) forces who are trying to overthorwn her when Shinnok attacks.

Baraka: With Millena

Sareena: There are two ways in wich i would introduce her: She could help a troubled Bi Han (If after the soulnado he becomes some sort of Noob-Zero), or she could find Kuai Liang in the Netherrealm and try to release him and the rest of the heroes from Quan Chi's control.

Sektor: Could be causing troubles to Sonya

Cyrax: I think he will regain his humanity at some point and turn against Sektor.

Sheeva: After Khan's demise her people is trying to combat both Millena and Reiko to gain their independence when Shinnok attacks. Probably we'll never see sheeva again and Goro will take a similar role.

Ermac: I hope they forget about the "Ermac is Jerrod" crap and he has a personality similar to the one he had in MKD, with a prefect balance betwen all the souls he is made of. And he is good again.

Bi Han/Kuai Liang: We know one of them will be Sub-zero, but i'm pretty sure the other will be there too. Again, the question is how.

Kano: He could easily take Jarek's story from MK4.

Reiko: Although i don't like him, I really see him trying to take Outworld from Millena, and i see him as an ally of Shinnok. One of the ones Shinnok would betray, of course.

Tanya: Speaking about traitors, Tanya is a must for MK10. I don't know what her story will be, but she will be there definitely.

Jax: I would prefer the dead heroes to play a role similar to the one they played in MKD/U, with a participation in the story, but with one or two in the acctuall roster. I still think we'll see all of them as playable charachters

Kitana: I would prefer the dead heroes to play a role similar to the one they played in MKD/U, with a participation in the story, but with one or two in the acctuall roster. I still think we'll see all of them as playable charachters

Kung Lao:I would prefer the dead heroes to play a role similar to the one they played in MKD/U, with a participation in the story, but with one or two in the acctuall roster. I still think we'll see all of them as playable charachters

Smoke: I would prefer the dead heroes to play a role similar to the one they played in MKD/U, with a participation in the story, but with one or two in the acctuall roster. I still think we'll see all of them as playable charachters

Jade: I would like her to be the first to get free from Quan Chi's control by herself, has to escape and look for help to find a way of getting them out of Quan Chi's control. I think she could be left out.

I would leave Kabal and Stryker dead, and I don't think we'll see Sindel again, sadly. I really like her.

Nightwolf: I think he will be in, i'm not sure yet how.

Kenshi: As Shang Tsung is dead and Sindel too, the souls of his ansestors probably are back on his sword. He will most likely be there with the heroes, more because he must than because he wants to.

Rain: I'm not sure yet what role will he play, as we don't know wich one is he playing in this game. But he will probably be in.

Havik: The cleric of chaos will be fueling the war in Outworld when Shinnok attacks. He will turn against him as his rule will bring order to that realm.


That is a pausible roster, but i will give 6 more charachters that could make it:

Khameleon: She could have a role similar to the one Nitara had for reptile in MKDA. It would be nice if they developed something for them.

Nitara: That could take that role again.

Blaze: If the Dragon King awakens during this game as i would like him to, we will probably see him.

Drahmin: He has an interesting story, and there are not many Netherrealm charachters when you think this game is probably about Shinnok's invasion, so it wouldn't be bad to have him.
Ashrah: for the same reasons as Drahmin, plus she could have a story tied with Nitara.

Mavado: He could have an interesting story with Sonya, Kano or both of them.


Boss: Shinnok
Secret real boss: Onaga (similar to Night Terror in SC 3)



I would probably leave some more charachters out of the game, in order to make deaths mean something, but i don't think NRS will do that.

Then again, I care more for the story.

Favorites: Ermac, Kitana, Sub-Zero, Sektor, Kung Lao, Kabal, Noob Saibot and Raiden (yeah, still love the bastard).

Worst: Cyber Sub-Zero, Skarlet and Sheeva (and Kratos of course). Plus, all the boss characters.

Want in MK10: Everyone from MK2011 (except the bosses, Sheeva, CSZ, Skarlet and guest characters) + Fujin, Kai, Reiko, Tanya & Shinnok. Keep the gameplay pretty much the same for MK2011 characters, update their design.

Don' want: Tremor, Hornbuckle and all that similar crap like Skarlet. Also, I don't want Sheeva, CSZ, Skarlet and MK2011 boss and guest characters.

The only character I don't want returning is Liu Kang. I've hated him since MK1.
