I have to say though, despite menot liking the character... his fatalities and throw is really awesome, His moves however seem very spammy...

I would anyone advice not to get the compatibility patch, unless you are willing to fight him every two matches... (offcourse the casual/ horror/ inforthebloodandgore crowd is very pleased, and those gamers tend to be the biggest group)

So I'm the only one who's excited for Freddy Krueger I see.

Well honestly, why would anyone expect the Robert Englund version of Freddy? "A Nightmare on Elm Street" has been rebooted, so it makes sense they would use the updated look.

Yes and it was poorly received,it kind of showed Englund is Freddy,I was just naively hoping they would have learned that. That's why I hoped it was a alt(again naively) just as fan service.

I like Freddy, I just think the whole thing could have been done much better.

A) Wrong Freddy
B) No NoES theme for the trailer

I wouldn't have cared if it was a character from say streetfighter, a fighter, or at the least a videogame character.. (Still wouldn't get them)

But he's a cult character from a horror movie, that even though popular, doesn't fit in the universe.. and is totally out of place (Atleast Kratos could be explained to some extent)...

I want my money back. I bought the summer DLC pack with the idea that I would be getting four MK characters. Not three MK characters and a film villain that hasn't been relevant for 10 years.

Just my opinion, but he looks weak, his moves look awful, his fatalities are a joke and I couldn't have any less interest in this character if I tried.

I know that there are people that like this, and that's fine. To each his own, really. But for me, I just don't want this in my MK game and now I have it because I was dumb enough to have paid for something before seeing it.

I really hope that he's not the last DLC character we'll see for this game, because wow, way to end with a great gaming experience, great DLC etc with a thud.

I honestly would've taken any MK character over him. Meat, Mokap, you name it. I honestly started to believe that I'd never feel this kind of disappointment in MK again. But this is probably the worst reveal I've seen in MK since the announcement of MKvsDC, which to me is one of the worst all time.

This might seem like a gut reaction, but we've heard this rumor for a long time. I just really hate that it finally came to fruition. Fail, NRS. Fail.

And this is precisely why I waited to see if the Season Pass was worth getting.

I don't want Freddy. I won't get Freddy. I'm an MK guy, yes, a "purist", and I'm glad I don't have to buy him.

Still, shame that out of the nearly two dozens of good MK characters waiting in the wings, we get a character that technically hasn't been relevant or scary since the first movie nearly 30 years ago.

He's somewhat from the era that MK started and has always been on that top-tier cross-over list for ANY FIGHTING GAME, MK was the LUCKY PICK!!!

Now I pray for add-on Fatalities, especially for him like:
1) Crawl up the wall (Invisible)
2) Bug Squash
3) Vein Puppet
4) Eat Their Own Stomach
5) Animality - Big Freddy Worm from NOE3 Dream Warriors and swallows them whole
6) Friendship - The 1, 2, 3 kids jump rope; and you think their about to get killed instead he turns into that pot smoking Freddipede and offers a hit

Now I wander what his Babality will look like, lol?

In a way thats the problem, they chose Freddy and people are ranting and demanding the Jason now.

Good News is that because of this, we may get more DLC characters in the future!
