And by lame characters, I mean... pretty much every character added to the roster of Armageddon, who wasn't already in Deception or Deadly Alliance.

I'd love to see Shinnok actually earn his spot as a big bad.

I'd love to see Sheeva evolve a bit more personality.

I'd love to see if Khameleon, Chameleon or Meat could survive as real characters, if someone fleshed them out a bit.

I'd love to see Mokap get pulled out of the sidelines and thrown into the thick of the story.

I'd love to see if Taven & Daegon can hold their own in a post Armageddon world.

I know it's very very unlikely that any of these things will happen, and even less likely that ALL these things will happen, but if just one or two of these characters got a redemption attempt, I think it would be cool.

It seemed to work for Ermac. *Shrug*

I don't think there's anything of value to be gained from trying to bring back Mokap and make him more serious. The concept of turning one of the game designers into a character is worthless down to its very core.

But I think there's a LOT you can do with the other characters who people typically pay no attention to or don't like, particularly the entire cast of MK4.

Hey great idea, there is no need to make new characters now. I mean afterall, they got a lot of unused character material floating around...EXCEPT Mokap, Stryker, Meat, Sheeva, and Hsu Hao. I want to see them falling into the pit or thrown into the dead pool, only to never return!!!

The new MK3 characters didn't have much of a chance to have a really good story. Hopefully this will be the opportunity for characters like Stryker and Sheeva to have their stories told.

I would love Mokap, Sheeva, Stryker and Hsu Hao get another chance. I prefer those characters more than Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and some others.

I would love to see Sheeva and Stryker get another chance, Hsu Hao I doubt it ,but Mokap would be a big NO because he's a guy in a motion capture suit what else is there to him. confused

I can definetly see Sheeva making a comeback, they probably can do more effects with her on the new consoles and the X-ray moves with four arms would be freakin sick!! The X-Ray moves would totally suit a character like her or Goro for that matter anyway. I could see her being a power fighter, but they have to work on her look, shes a warrior yes, but she needs to be a lot more feminime. Seriously, she is the one mortal kombat female I think nobody would want to bang and that is saying something considering Mileena has a messed up face!!confused

Yes i agree with this motion!!! Im tired of ppl saying characters like Mokap, Meat, and Khameleon arent interesting when they are basically BLANK SLATES. I for one think Khameleon has great potential as a character if they would get some good writers on team mk.

I actually don't mind Mokap, but as serious story element? No, he's a joke character. Just make the joke funny.

Hsu hao? Even boon hates him so i doubt he'll ever make a comeback
I think the problem with the MK games is that when they introduce new characters they introduce WAY too many of them. Games like Street Fighter and Tekken only introduce 1-5 new characters in their new games while Mortal Kombat usually has around 10

Shinnok made a start at being a credible character in Armageddon, which was pleasing. Stryker's design in the same game also made him far more interesting, and his difference from the other characters was pretty cool. Sheeva I've always liked, she had as much characterisation as most other MK characters.

People like Kai and Jarek bore me because they are already clones of established characters (Kano, Kung Lao) and their designs are bland at best.

Kai wasn't a Kung Lao clone. His moves were actually pretty unique for the time. The problem with him was just that he wasn't really important to the story. And the handstand moves, like the weapons in that game, proved to be useless because one hit and it was over.
Fujin was almost the Kung Lao, he did steal the dive kick. But the rest of his moves were his own and the crossbow made him stand out.

It depends on the direction of the story, but I think they all have a shot at making an interesting run. Shinnok was going somewhere in MKA, I liked that a lot. I have some fan fic in the work and I'm trying to integrate these characters more to give them better shots and angles into the MK universe. I think it can be done very well with the right set up.

Sheeva deserves a new chance; with a brand new look, story, and moves.
