Yeah, I don't quite get that either. I loves me some MvC2, but what I've seen of MvC3 thus far has been less than impressive. The graphics look so-so, the gameplay looks very similar to what we've already seen and oh yeah, the cast is going to be smaller than MvC2. Sooooo... Why do we need this update? A fresh coat of paint? Oh... It has Dante... Nevermind. lol

In all seriousness, I'll get MvC3, but of the two, I thought that Mortal Kombat looked a lot more impressive. The graphics were a LOT better than what MvC3 was showing off, the characters looked better, the gameplay looked great... I dunno, speaking as someone that loves both series, I would've gone with MK simply because they're changing more, giving more fan service and doing a whole lot more to make a great game than I think Capcom is with MvC3.

We'll see. I'm sure I'll like both, but while it's hard to be biased, I say MK had the better E3 outing by far.

amen. 100% agree. ign is on crack; dirty, tainted, filthy crack. i am not saying ign should have given it to mk but no way did the award go to mvsc3, imo.

Besides some anime fighters, MK and MvC3 were the only fighters, so it was going to be one or the other, lol.

I hope this game gets full support by WB and sells well.

Yeah, way to go NetherRealm Studios! I hope this game is critically acclaimed upon its release as well. I would love to see Mortal Kombat receive high marks across Gamespot and other sites. If it doesn't though, it is no matter. The enjoyment I receive from it will be all that is significant.

Congrats MK Team!

IGN didn't really talk about Mortal Kombat at all during E3, and i mean AT ALL... I was amazed. They've been really... "meh" lately, imo.

IGN has that old out dated gamer thing that things that are japanese are superior, this new MK looks better graphically than MvC3, that's not to say MvC3 looks bad it's just that MK looks that good. I'll end up owning both games but I am so much more looking forward to MK than just about any game coming in the next year and there are a lot of good ones coming that I want so that's saying something.
