like everything else in this game, the retro costumes are buggy as all hell. Sometimes you can select them online, sometimes you can't. I think it has something to do with a**holes who haven't downloaded the compatibility pack, which brings up the glaring question, "why do they let you play online if you haven't downloaded the compatibility pack?"

It's not a glitch, it's exactly what unseenwombat said. For some reason, NRS made the compatibility pack optional.

Yeah UnseenWombat's right, for some odd reason people are allowed to decline to download the compatibility or patches and still play online for that matter and it creates a plethora of problems, I suspect that's part of why the issues have been so rampant.

It's also pretty lame that because those people didn't download the pack, you're not able to play with DLC characters and classic costumes when you fight them. The packs and patches should be mandatory if you play online.
