Month by month character releases...

I had an idea for the MK team, how they can keep fans happy with regular updates on a month to month basis. So there are 26 playable characters, am I right? Well, what if they were to release 2-3 characters every month until the game is released. For example:

July
Liu Kang, Jax

August
Sonya, Kitana

etc etc and they could include background details and fatalities for each.

This worked really well for me when Dante's Inferno released a new level every month. I couldn't wait to see what every level would look like, and it made the time go by even faster.

Ya I think something every month would be nice to tide me over till game release or else I'm gonna go nuts checking MKO every five minutes just for some little thing new.

Nah, that'll be lame. I say 1 character realease every 2-3 months. By the time the game comes out, I would still not want to know who's fully in the game.

But I think before the game gets released we will get screenshots of the select screen possibly having character silhouttes therefore giving away whos in it. I hope they keep the same idea with the select screen they have now where all the unlockables look the same.

I just want the game to surprise me, and not know everything before the game comes out.

they could what SSBB did and have a blog site that updates every day with new info. The hype for this game would sky rocket with that

well, for me they should maybe release some info before the game comes out, so say maybe 4-5 chars confirmed. but no story and no background on them.

It occurred to me too that there were just enough characters they could reveal a new one once every two weeks or so and be done in the spring when the game's supposed to come out.

Of course, since they surely want to keep a few characters a secret, they could mix it up and show stages instead some weeks. Just as long as we have something new to keep us occupied on a regular basis instead of long, quiet, boring gaps in the promotion.

Normally, which I really can't stand. I would love it if they could find a way to make at least some characters a surprise.

Amazingly enough, the hype for this game at the moment can be represented with a pack of Mentos and a 2-liter of diet coke.

Oh no...please don't remind me about the Smash Dojo...

Every BLODDY morning I checked that shit, and then watched the internet implode at updates like "NEWCOMER: SONIC" and that mysterious "This World" update.

It made my hype for Brawl increased every day for like a year an a half to the point where i thought about it like ALL the time.

I want to feel that hype again....I hope boon does that for noob.com

I was thinking that the other night as well, maybe they could release a character then a background, then a character and just alternate until they run out of backgrounds and then just to bi weekly character releases.

They can release a character once a week starting in August.

26 characters, once a week, for six months. Just about on time for the game.

I'd like for it to stay secret until the game came out. In today's world there are barely any secrets in the games industry. Nearly everything either leaks or gets revealed well before the game is released. So a slow reveal of characters will probably be what happens.
