Though it would certainly be nice to play MK:AK online, I don't know if that's enough for me to fork over ten bucks. Had they added something beyond trophies and achievements (ie, new characters, backgrounds etc) then I definitely wouldn've thrown down the cash.

As it stands, I'm just kinda lukewarm on this, especially considering the fact I was really looking forward to the MK HD collection. Still, for those that don't have these three games on other consoles, more power to ya, enjoy!!

If it was released before MK9 came out then it would have been my wallpaper but for now I'm sticking with Skyrim.

I Just hope the Arcade Collection has good AI instead of that chump one match and psycho the next that they have in some games. A difficulty option would be nice as well, My son isn't very good at fighters but likes to play MK.

I think Ed Boon got said it exactly right when he was saying he wanted to give this game time to breathe before making a sequel. I can only wonder what kind of game NRS is working on in the meantime, but judging by how awesome MK is, I can trust it will be good.

As for the MK Collection, it's pretty cool that we can play them all in one convenient package, and I'd consider $10 a good deal. I'm just sad that this whole MK HD collection didn't happen (And seeing "HD" and "Arcade Kollection" in the same sentence really got me down when I realized it wasn't "MK HD Arcade Kollection")

The rendera? They're cool, but they probably should have released them when the characters were announced rather than wait until now. But, you know, better late than naver.

It'd be so cool if there was the option to be able to play as Jade in Mk2, or Reptile in MK1 in this version. If they reworked it a bit so you could unlock the hidden fighters.

Why does everyone prefer UMK3 to MK Trilogy?

That's what I don't get, Trilogy includes everyone, Baraka, Johnny Cage, Rain, Goro, Kintaro and nearly all the stages from the first 3 games plus a few extra that aren't included in UMK3. Plus the option of playing with MK1 Kano, Raiden and MK2 Kung Lao and Jax

Because Trilogy was hastily put together with issues such as sounds/music missing, full of glitches and gameplay that isn't like the arcade version of UMK3.

IF they can make a trilogy up to the standard of UMK3 then most people would be happy with it.

Compared to what SF3TS:OE is offering this collection does seem quite a let down. But i'll have to reserve judgement till I see it in action.

I also loved that game. (Only 3D MK game I actually enjoyed. For me 3D fighting only works well when fighting multiple enemies).

Did'nt Scorpion or Sub Zero's ending hint at an "alliance of fire and ice"? I am sure this was a hint to a new adventure game. Well I hope so.

the combos you can pull off in umk are way crazier than in trilogy, umk had a more tourny level of play

I have MK1, MKII and the original MK3 on SNES and also UMK3 for Xbox 360 but I'm still downloading this because 1) I don't have to plug SNES in 2) Xbox 360 is more conventional 3) I can play MK1 (+MKII & UMK3) online now (UMK3 for X360 hardly has players these days).

This just tells me how greedy NRS and WB are. They dont want to put out another game cuz they want MK9 to breathe and they dont want to saturate the market. MK9's sales are doing extremely well, already paid for the aquisition of Midway and yet these greedy fuckers wont release anymore DLC. PC gamers probably wont get MK9 if MKAK doesnt sell as much as they want. They need to remember that its the first 3 games. How many times do they have to release these game and expect ppl to keep playing them. SF4 is doing very well on steam and MK9 would certainly sell more than them.


With sales being so well and having no plans on releasing another game soon, they need to focus on DLC for awhile, especially adding alot more for offline play since online is suffering.

It'll be nice to have MK1 and 2. Still bitter that MK4 has been shafted once again. Those shitty home console ports have forever stained the rather lovely arcade version.

Try the PC version if you can. Pretty good, gotta do a work around for vista though.

I find UMK3 and MK3 a bit more balanced, they still get hard

I dont want a bunch of games, I just want more DLC if we wont get MK10 for a few more years. MK9 has sold very well and so has their DLC so there's no reason to not have more DLC

Except NRS has plans for the MK universe outside of the fighting genre... as stated. To expect them to trickle out the entire Armageddon roster instead of focusing efforts to the next project is a bit short-sighted. Besides, Boon said that MK 10 is a ways off, NOT that they wouldn't make anything. I've personally been waiting for an action/adventure game for a while now.
