Another new video interview thing ,with much of the same... scorpion and sub-zero.. a beautiful view of Scorpions winning pose and Kitana's roster image.

Kitana's hair is my only gripe so far in every video I've seen of MK2011, it's so so bad and stiff it almost looks like a distraction in the match, hopefully it's just in very early development.

Also noticed them dedicating almost the whole Desert stage to broken up pieces of Sindel, good chance she won't make the final cut, if I were to take a guess.

Hector is actually letting this guy film in the Update #7 video, unless the guy recording has some super ninja camera hidden in his glasses or something.

Sub Zero's 2nd Fatality is pretty nice I think.

The statue of Sindel has costume parts she's never had before such as the rising collar. If anything, this is confirmation of Sindel in the same way Kitana's background appearance was confirmation of her..

I also don't really think they cut Sindel... there are already too less women as it is...

Mileena, Kitana and Sonya isn't enough.

Jade, Sheeva and Sindel are all chances to be out of the game, but I would find this stupid.

It's hard to know what the official status of filming is right now. Obviously some people are being allowed, as Ed has given a few interviews himself. He even just updated his Twitter with some guy wanting to take a picture with him.

Ed keeps saying the same thing over and over. If you have a favorite in MK3 or back, they're probably in the game. The only ones I would question right now are these:

Noob Saibot (unless Sub-Zero dies, he doesn't exist)
Sub-Zero (I don't know what they'll do with him if the older one lives)
Ermac (He's probably in because he was very well received in MKD)
Rain (I think he'll miss the cut personally, probably in favor of Quan Chi or someone like that)

And that would be a stupid mistake as Rain has enough fans to make Noob Saibot blush.

Really a male edenian is needed much more than a cop or female shokan, not that I would mind those two back, my wish is every MK1,2 and 3 character minus Noob and Y Sub, and maybe Goro and Motaro.

Noob would be secret character and Ysub an alternate custume or maybe DLC.

Quan Chi, Fujin and Tanya would be DLC for free.

Great videos. The game is looking VERY good.

And I haven't said that about an MK game in a good long while.

Here's hoping things only get better!

I dont think Quan Chi has a chance. Like Crow said, Boon keeps saying the cast will comprise of MK3 and back. He only divulges into MK4 and beyond characters when he mentions DLC.

I think they are only allowing to record the previously officially shown characters' gameplay. If Kitana or Cyrax are playing it's very easy for the MK team to see that and they'll stop someone to take pictures or videos of their gameplay.

As for Sindel, I'm pretty sure she's in the game. If her statue is in Jade's desert background that doesn't mean that she's out, Edenia during this era was corrupted by Shao Khan. It's also like Shao Khan sitting on his thrown in the background same to Shang Tsung that he's most probably is going to be in the game.

I'mma post it one more time, in this thread, for those that may have not read it before.

Kitana's hair AND clothing were glitched in the video shown with her gameplay. It happens it multiple videos with multiple characters and is something you can expect to be fixed for the actual release.

I'm taking snap shots of the vid right now to see if I can make any decent cake signatures out of the footage. Nothing workable yet, but we'll see.

And when they highlighted Cyrax's icon, his up-close render looked fantastic! I wish our first view of this stuff didn't have to be low-quality footage, but I'm more confident than ever that team is on the right track development-wise.

I'm thinking that sindel wont be in. The reason behind that theory comes from the dessert stage. I think raiden might stop the ressurection of sindel!

nahhhhh i dont think NRS would take it that far as to write the catalyst of MK3 completely out of the game - thats blasphemy!

This game is suppose to be a retelling with a twist. Writing out Sindel's contribution wouldn't be a twist, but an outright tearing out of MK3's causal foundation.

Sindel is most likely in.

But Jade Desert stage refers to Jade and she's from Edenia. So Jade Desert is part of Edenia when corrupted by Shao Khan that's why we see the destroyed Sindel statue, where his wife Sindel was under his command and Edenia was a mess after Shao Khan's attack. It's very unlikely not to see his wife Sindel in this game.
