Good for NRS.MK2011 is a good game and much better than the fucking crap that Da,Deception and Armageddon were,but this game won because its more played by scrubs and casuals who doesnt have a fucking clue of what a fighting game is.

This is great for MK, NRS made a really good and complete game, and they keep supporting months after release. I see a bright future for MK

I'm not completely sure, but i wouldn't be surprised. Still, fro both sides there are a few posts worth reading for the actual content, but the majority of them are just for the fun :P

It kind of had to win. Everything else was a re-release or a very expensive demo.

I love the, Mortal Kombat is shit, it's so clunky etc comments.

Even though the game has received overwhelming praise from reviewers and the community.

I suck at Street Fighter, but I'm not going to pretend like the game's bad because of it, because it's not a bad game at all, people need to quit being so biased.

Obviously MK needs improvements, but so does Street Fighter and any other video game.

MvC3 was one of the most anemic and dull attempts at a fighting game I have ever played. Boring as shit, and can't even hold an iota of a candle to the masterpiece of its predecessor.
Street Fighter IV came out in 2008, and that's that.

I'm very glad for NRS and MK. This better mean an outstanding sequel. Anything less than what we got in MK9 would be suicide. The fans would go crazy (crazier than usual, that is).

You can say that again. Making one of the best MK games in almost ten years and then throwing out a shitty sequel just won't do.

Deny it all you want, but Mortal Kombat is not just a decent game, nor is it a good game. MK is a GREAT game, and the people have spoken. You can say it sucks all you want and blow it off, but that's your loss, not ours, and certainly not NRS's loss either.

And here's the deal; I'm not a fanboy. I LOVE Street Fighter. I love Tekken. I love Soul Calibur. I love Dead or Alive. Virtua Fighter. Blazblue. Marvel vs. Cacpom... they're ALL good games.

I could see MvC3 or SFIV:AE winning just as easily as MK did, and I would call that a fair win TOO. But MK was, in my opinion, the equal to the best the fighting game genre had to offer.

No, not because of graphics or gore or mini-games or story mode... but because it was a legitimately great game with great gameplay and great variety, great value, and great post-launch support that has continued to this very day. Casuals AND hardcore fans have loved this game, and when even the almighty Daigo of SF infamy is telling people to give it a chance, the only detractors are just ardent fanboys and Capcom-fanatics. And I DO love Capcom games... but not to the exclusion of others or denial of the greatness of other games.

MK earned this award, and I'm proud of NRS for doing so.

Here's hoping the game, and the fanbase, only continues to grow.

So MK9's appearance at EVO doesn't mean anything to you. This game is played by a mixed crowd. Hardcore and casuals alike. This game appeals to both crowds so for you to say only scrubs play it is complete nonsense.
