I must say, Most trailers made by fans are clearly second-rate, But I really like the what you did there. Has a big sense of darkness and then.. Here we Go!!.

I like the words you chose.

Great job!. The only thing I would ahve done, is mix up the shots included in the video so it seems like something new, maybe add some shots from the E3 demonstration.

Best fan-Trailer Ive seen yet.

*sigh* more of the same...

I was hoping for something else, but it was foolish of me to expect that so far from its release with little to no trailer/teaser releases............

Thanks grin Most of the work was just adding filters to the different scenes, like a blue-ish filter for the night stages, green/yellow for the Dead Pool (kinda like the Saw films), a "foreboding" reddish/orangish for the outdoor day stages. And of course the music wink

Fair enough, just made the most of what I had. I probably could've added more from the Gamespot E3 demo, but I just liked the flow as it was. In short, it was basically just a way of "beefing up" the current trailer with more of a grand feeling in terms of tone and atmosphere.

If anything, down the road, I may try something closer to a full length trailer (2 min and 30 seconds), in which I'd add in more elements and use new music.

While I would have appreciated more moments from the E3 gameplay vids, I think you did a solid job. It was must more dramatic than the debut trailer. Good music choice as well. Good work.

Thank you very much, that was my intention grin Basically just to make the E3 debut trailer more "dramatic", and film-like.

Only MK fans.

The music was awesome, and all thought it was just the debut trailer with with a few alterations, it was pretty sweet. I'd like to see what you could do with the other vids out there. what else you could splice together.

all in all, good stuff! lets see another.

kind of sad when a fan can make a better trailer than the official company...

Man I was thinking the same thing. To the creator/OP awesome job! I know some people have said it's more of the same, but if your trailer was THE ORIGINAL it would have had a HUGE impact on fans. I also like the final cut away to Kung Lao's victory pose. If in fact things are different in this game and Kung Lao ends up being the Champion that would be an awesome way to end the trailer with a foreshadow of Kung Lao winning the Tournament.

You should be working at Netherealm Studios;
NICE JOB!

i would be ELATED if the time line changes so that kung lao wins the tournament, the way it should have always been, imo. i have always HATED liu kang and thought he was as embarrassing to mk as jar jar is to star wars. zombie liu was at least decent and let me tell ya i squealed with glee when liu's neck cracked in the opening of deadly alliance. a monk with a razor hat and presence of clint eastwood > jar jar with a bicycle kick, imo.

It was decent. Good editing. I didn't like how it was just the original trailer re-edited though. I thought you would have shown some cut scenes from MKvsDC, and I thought you would have used gamespot footage. Secondly the Star Trek music is cool, but it is starting to be overused in fan trailers.

An epic trailer that doesn't start with "In a world..."?! tongue

At some stage I wouldn't mind seeing, real or fan-made, the inevitable trailer that shows scenes from all the previous games with a Raiden voiceover. Maybe it's a voiceover from previous games/sources about the general stakes, with the new context, or maybe it's something new. Pretty cliche, but a bit of fun.

Wow, thanks for all of the positive feedback... especially DieHumanless and mkraiden wink But the best possible feedback showed up via twitter:

"noobde @OldPangYau That IS Epic...good job man! Make ME want to play the game! "

Now THAT made me feel really good grin As I mentioned before, I may try to make a full two and a half minute trailer that will encompass more footage (I love the idea of the past years of Raiden's words that now seem all for naught) and different music.

Not to discredit the person who took another spin at the trailer, but I don't like the way you discredit the original trailer and thus it's makers.

It's easier to build/improve upon something that already exists. New ideas are always triggered by other (previous) ideas. It's another story when you have to start from scratch (probably with some time-constraints).

What movie trailer am I recognizing that music from? Star Trek '09, right? It was driving me crazy trying to place it for a while there.

Yep. In fact, the similar "reboot, but sequel at the same time" concept that both Star Trek '09 and MK '11 shared was the main inspiration.

Nice job, I like the tension you are building up in the beginning. Really gives the trailer a bigger impact.
