^ that or simply don't get grabbed.

Countering a grab is not done by pressing grab yourself. At least not in the demo I downloaded. I think you counter a normal throw by pressing attack 2 (triangle) button and a backwards throw with attack 1 (square) button, or the other way around.

That seems weird, for all I had to do was press the grab button to counter.
There are two types of throws with two escapes. Just standing and throwing is one, where you will switch sides with the opponent. Holding forward and throwing is another, you do not switch sides.
neutral throw is broke with fp or fk. forward throw is broken with bp or bk.
Doing a throw of your own would break throws because you're hitting fp and fk and they were trying a neutral throw. If they had thrown you with a forward throw it wouldn't work.

That doesn't work for me.. I noticed ducking u won't get grabbed but if u duck and block u will. I also I tapped block rite when I got grabbed and it broke out.

Any of the face buttons works fine

Do you mean a command grab? I don't think those can be teched (or at least, they shouldn't). Teching is basically a 50/50 in this game because you can't tell which type of grab your opponent is doing and you can only choose one face button to tech with (right?).

Your all wrong
Have you ever noticed above your special meter sometimes it will say 'wake up attack' ?
Well, you can preform a wake up attack when knocked down, as soon as you hit the ground. just press R1 + (attack you want to preform)
You can do super specials, uppercuts, regular specials, ect. It's pretty much to keep your opponent at bay. Same thing goes for grabs, as soon as you see your opponent grab you, press R1. You have to be quick, it's kind of tricky to pull off. it's not really a counter grab, just a counter shake off to thier grab.

R1 only works because R1 presses FP & FK at the same time. FP or FK will tech neutral(back) throws, but it will not tech forward throws (they must be teched from either a BP or BK). You do not need to press R1 to preform wake-up attacks, you can just input the attack.
