Netherrealm Studios Reveals Sub-Zero Render!

You would have a point if this was July or August, but it's the middle of November.
The game comes out in mid-to-late April.
That's close enough to start releasing better information than Renders and whatnot. And really, knowing what characters and stages are in the game isn't much of a spoiler. Now if they were cranking out Fatalities, story cutscenes, Krypt info, then yeah, they'd need to slow down.
As is? Hell, no, they need to speed up

Not sure how people can't be pleased with getting something. So their favorite character isn't revealed yet. Why should everything move fast? If things move in a faster pace, what's going to happen come towards the end? Everything will be revealed to us and there's nothing left to awe over. That's my point. I don't have an issue with people complaining about anything, but they shouldn't complain at how NS is revealing things to us. We can't control that, there's nothing we can do to stop them from doing what they're doing unless you all head to Chicago and protest. That's the only way you can get Ed to stop what he's doing. And why bother? You all want a MK game right? It's just pretty lame to complain about how they're doing this. They're with a new company, they're finally doing things on how they want to do, why complain about the goodness on having a better company to develop the game and more time to get everything they want to include the game? That's just what I have to say.
Who is Subby? Subby is not my favorite character. Sub-Zero, yes but not Subby.

You are OK with something others are not. That's fine. However, just because you are pleased doesn't mean the rest should be or that they "should keep quiet". That's not fine at all. People have a right to talk/complain/discuss/disagree/etc if they want to as long as they don't troll around without a point.

They don't have to. It's November 9th... mid-April for the release... That's still five months away... Still seems a bit far but not that far...

I like the pics. Very cool. Not much more to say really. Would I like new info? Sure, but new pics are cool too. I'm happy with what we've seen so far and will be just as happy with each new tidbit of info or pic or piece of content we haven't seen before.
Guys, seriously, this is the build up! It's only what, four or five months away now? In four or five months, we'll have a great game to play and discect and learn about and enjoy and that'll be great, but we'll also have another few YEARS to wait for the next MK game.
Sure, I know that NR is promising post game content, and that's great, really, but all I'm saying is that we should be happy around this time. Happy to see a new screen shot, a new character, a new video that shows a move or two that we haven't seen already etc.
I'm not calling anyone ungrateful or whatever either. I know, we all get impatient. But I still think that it's important to put this wait in perspective. To me, it's more like Christmas Eve when you're a kid, knowing that the next day there will be a ton of presents under the tree.
Sure, maybe the next day you get some awesome presents, maybe you get a few that aren't so great, but for me, the anticipation of the day was every bit as fun as the day itself.
I always tried to find where my folks stashed my gifts. I'd tear the house apart while they were out and then put everything back the way it was before they got home. I also loved hanging the stockings, helping put together the gingerbread house, picking out/buying gifts for others, especially when I knew that it was the perfect gift etc.
All of that long, drawn out babbling is just my way of saying that this is one of the best times to be an MK fan. Not only because we're getting one of the best looking MK games ever in a matter of a few short months, but we're in that time period where information is flowing at a slow but steady pace, building up the anticipation for the big day.
Just remember to sit back every so often and enjoy that fact every so often, even if the lack of info makes you want to tear your hair out at times.

That's true, but I do like that this implies Elder Sub-Zero is the more powerful of the brothers. According to MKDA Konquest Young Subby was only able to create a Kori Blade after he acquired the Dragon Medallion.

People still underestimate Mortal Kombat, as soon as they hear the same they automatically assume its sucks. Because Mortal Kombat hasn't had such a great past and lots of people are more into "COD" nowadays or just shooters. They wont give me a chance to explain anything, they just say, aww Mortal Kombat, that game sucks. And for so long, even with this upcoming game, people choose to be ignorant. NONE of my friends give a shit about MK and dont wanna know, based on their experience with MKA and the negativity about the game, they treat it like a joke.
Thats why I'm hoping this MK game will change that, and it will make Mortal Kombat a respected fighter again, not a joke which was the path it took. MK 2011 all the way, show them haters some real Kombat.

I don't think "haters" is the best word to describe the naysayers. They've had all the reason to be skeptical. Though, COD is bloody terrible. At least MK had UMK3.

Yea, go watch some MK 2011 videos and then be skeptical. They just put MK in a class with a bad name. They give it no chance, even though its finally redeeming itself.

Well, lets not go too far. It looks promising, it really does. But the sparse amount of info and gameplay videos we've received isn't enough to discredit their (or any other skeptic's) opinion. Anyone can take the best moments of their game and make a stunning video out of it.

When was there ever a voting session for this kind of stuff to be revealed? How did I miss this and how did it happen?
Any links please? Thank you.

I do understand your views and respect your opinion, however, I still disagree with some of your points. Its not lame to complain about the way they are revealing/marketing their stuff because tons of people clearly disagree with the method (repetitive countdowns fails and update fails included).
Also, if you think that "heading to Chicago and protest" is the actual only way *to be heard*, make a difference, or make complains effective, then you haven't been paying much attention to what's been going on for years regarding MK and its fanbase (as well as media in general):
It's pretty much a well known fact that the internet+online forums are a very powerful weapon of communication with the "unreachable people" (such as the MK Team in this case). We talk. They read. We complain. They listen. We wait. They make their decisions. And with facebook and twitter being such powerful tools of communication, soooo many things are even more possible than before. We don't need to go to Chicago and knock on their doors to make this possible.
If everyone just stayed quiet about everything because they think that stressing their opinions won't work (because you are not banging on their doors on Chicago) than many things that have happened for the games wouldn't even be real today (for the good and bad).
PS: What voting thing? Who voted for what and where? I can't believe I missed this, lol.
