Thanks for this, I didn't see it yet! Great detail on the background, I really like it.

Damn, how could I missed this render, I'm searching the web for news ever since that first trailer lol.

Interestingly enough, I think this is the first time (in a long time) that I feel like the in-game arenas/backgrounds look a billion times better IN the game than in the renders (which automatically look gorgeous anyways).

The MKvsDC arenas are all beautiful, but the render pictures always looked darker and more rich and stylish than the final product in the game.

In this new game, however, I feel like the arenas/backgrounds are absolutely stunning and even better than the renders (assuming all renders will look like this one, which is great, don't get me wrong).

Was thinking exactly the same thing. The renders were allways cool and you got convident that it would be great in the game, only later to be disappointed.

I hope they change the camera angle when falling. Don't like it how it is now. No sense of speed. In MKII, the top view worked a lot better. They could do a top view camera when falling. The camera tries to follow the one who is falling, but hasn't enough speed to keep track. Thus creating still the effect of falling. Maybe with some tunnelvision effect.

The spike give a nice effect, with the liver hanging out and the twitching. But I rather see the Pit II without spikes and see the original Pit back

I agree with your comments. The in game arenas looks absolutely impressive, even more than the rendered versions or concept arts. Hopefully they will look even more polished and better after 9 months of development.

As for the falling effect, yeah, I also agree. I'm not really that enthusiastic with the spike Pit Fatalities anymore. If they only added a twist to it. Still, I'm hoping for the Pit 3 and its amazing Pit fatality. Can you imagine the skin and body of the victims being completely brutalized by spinning blades? If done in a cinematic way like most of the fatalities we have seen, I'm sure its going to be impressive.

You are welcome guys!

I'm glad you enjoyed it and that most of you got to see it for the first time.

I just don't understand why this render hasn't been posted in a news leads by MKO.

looks like Hogwarts in the background I'm calling it Harry Potter will fly across the moon.(WB owns HP)

Hahahahahahhaha!!! That would be fantastic! grin

Remember the MK1 silhouettes that were flying over the moon? Well, they had a witch in one of them, so, I don't think its impossible to have a Harry Potter chasing the snitch.

Lmao! Priceless.
