It's already been posted and I will quote my post

It is a hack that let you play as the bosses and I can confirm it. You can download it here

Click for direct link
I have no use for it because I don't know how to hack. Once again customers gets less than hackers

I have nothing against those who hack content (enables content) that is already on the disc and it would be a cheap trick by NRS if they enable the bosses via paid DLC. Enjoy the hack for those who know what to do. Credit goes to Brien L. Johnson AKA brienj from the Xbox Hacking Portal

A tutorial on youtube would be appreciated
Oh I forgot, the trainer is not the final version. In the future it will be updated and include more unlocked characters

About Me

"Is it so important that you win one last argument with him?" "No, it is not, but it is true that I will miss the arguments; they were, finally, all that we had."

Yeah, they're hacks, but they do show off more evidence that they were meant to be (or still are) playable legitimately; as the link I provided above shows, not only do they have fatalities, bios and endings, babalities, and movelists, they also have animations for when they're on the receiving end of each other's X-Ray moves and when they get beaten by Kintaro (which, if they were never meant to be playable, shouldn't be so smooth and glitch-free; search out the hack videos for Goro/Kintaro playable in Shaolin Monks, or the continue screen video of Goro in MK4 for examples of what I'm talking about). The fact that so much effort was put into the bosses to have them be as close to the normal characters, functionally, as possible lends some serious credence to the belief that they were/are/are going to be playable.

This is from the ''Read Me'' text that includes with the hack:

Mortal Kombat 9 Trainer v 1.0 by brienj

This trainer is button based, and you can enable things from button presses. Just follow the directions below for specific instructions on each thing it can do. It will be updated with new additions.

How to use the "Play As" features:

Each "Play As" code will allow you to play as various NPCs. Each code will have an activation code which you enter after you've selected any character and difficulty level. Make sure to press the activation code anytime after the "ladder" screen apears, but before the round starts. The code has to be re-activated after the "ladder" screen appears, after each time you de-activate it. You could change who you play as each time, if you so choose, by doing a different activation code, or don't activate it, and just let the first person you selected go ahead and fight.

Pressing "right" on the D-Pad or on your Arcade Stick that is set as digital input, not analog, will deactivate the "Play As" code. The code must be deactivated anytime after the match starts and before you win or lose and go back to the "ladder" screen, where you can re-activate the code at that time. So make sure that you do not press "right" while waiting for the match to start, but after it starts, it is ok to deactivate it. The reason it must be deactivated, is if you have the code still activated before the "ladder" screen appears, it will lock-up when it appears. So if you play with the D-Pad or an Arcade Stick, you won't have to remember to deactivate, and you just have to be careful about not deactivating it on the "ladder" screen or loading screen, before the match actually loads up and then starts.

Play as Shao Khan in Single Ladder or Tag Team Ladder:
Activation Code: BACK + X

Play as Goro in Single Ladder or Tag Team Ladder:
Activation Code: BACK + Y

Play as Kintaro in Single Ladder or Tag Team Ladder:
Activation Code: BACK + A

This is the only thing the trainer does so far. I will be adding many more characters to play as, as well as trying to add new features, such as possibly a God Mode.

I hope you enjoy the trainer.

This trainer may be hosted on other sites, if you give a link to my site and leave this ReadMe inside the archive.

This is quite interesting but do they have enhanced specials when playable? I noticed they still have super armor.

Uh, why? It's a game mod. That's not illegal.

Yeah, they're hacks, but they do show off more evidence that they were meant to be (or still are) playable legitimately;

I'd imagine it was that they were meant to be but are not currently. There is very little chance of hidden playable versions currently existing in the game at this point.

a)Their move list doesn't list everything (ie. no finishers are listed even though they have them), and we don't know if they have any combos, tag combos, or EX moves since none of those are listed for them (except a basic FP,FP combo). Also from playing as Goro in the Challenge Tower we know that he can't jump and has no throw or back throw (Shao Kahn apparently does have throws at least, since they are in his move list).

b)They still have their health and damage buff along with the armor on their attacks.

c)As stated by the hack's description, they will crash the game in certain scenarios.

I don't see those things remaining true for official playable versions. So the question now is, which of these happened:

A)NRS intended the bosses to be playable, but decided that would ruin the mystique of the bosses and so they won't ever be playable (ie. NRS are idiots).

B)NRS intended the bosses to be playable, but either did not have time to implement playable versions or decided to delay their playable versions for some other reason (ie. To give characters like Sheeva a chance to be played as before adding two more popular Shokans), and so they will have their playable versions added later on either as a hidden secret added with a patch (ie. NRS is smart), or as DLC at some point (ie. WB is greedy).

Game modding is perfectly legal and there is a legal precedent for it here. brienj makes game trainers (works like a debugging tool) and save editors for games and uploads them to his site without giving users the ability to pirate or bootleg the video games they are for. He's in the clear legally speaking.
