It's really stupid not to have these costumes on the consoles. They could have easily made more money. Several games get support even after a years release, there is no excuse why they can't do it for MK on 360 and PS3.

I agree. These things should be offered to everyone, not just Vita owners. Exclusives are just a rather boorish bully tactic to try and get us to buy a new piece of hardware for a few games that only differ slightly from their console counterpart. Shame on you, NRS!

Those costumes are great. Who's to say NRS won't make those costumes DLC for consoles? Maybe on down the road they will. You just never know.

Ed Boon says a lot of things. Besides, when he sees all the possible money he could make by importing the costumes to consoles. He may come to his senses.

I think the money to be made is overstated. I mean how much are they going to charge for costumes? Too much and people won't buy them. Too little and NRS won't make a profit. Also, how do they break them up? Do they do one large package or a bunch of small ones? And again, what's the cost breakdown of said packages?
The longer they wait the less people will be interested, especially casual gamers, and the less cost effective it will be to put out any more DLC.

The "exclusive" costumes will probably be available on console after the Vita launch just like the Vita exclusive SFxT characters. They need something to sell people on the Vita version because you know damn well people are going to buy that shit just for the costumes.

I smell a massive riot or petition coming very soon if we DON'T get those damn costumes... must have... will pay. lol

NeRdS probably care about their reputation and they don't want to be Capcom in this department. Nothing's certain at this point though, they could throw in one huge pizza containing everything they have in storage.

I still don't think these costumes will be exclusive to the Vita version. But even if it's not, I don't really care about not being able to use the MK3 costumes. I hate the way the pants have the color on the back, andt I just don't like the tights on ninjas. I do like the MK2 costumes though; they're probably my favorite ones. They're sleeker and more stealthy than MK1's but they don't look like cheap halloween costumes.

Why does Ermac have an MK2 skin?

0
I didn't think they would give Ermac an MK2 skin but I suppose at that point he was still a rumored character and they were trying to deny he existed which probably didn't satisfy some people who thought there was some way to get to him.
That's what I'm going with.

Very possible and I'm not saying what will happen one way or the other, just trying to use logic as much as the scenario will allow. If they're released for the consoles great!
However, they kind of already are on the slippery slope that is Capcom. They've released 3 games in one year that are all essentially the same at their core. They're just different enough to get people interested in them whether they have any of the other versions or not. It'd be completely different if there was one version for the home consoles and a direct port for any handhelds, but that is not what NRS has released.
I'd wager it will only get worse and not better with more DLC, and less stuff on disc meaning you'll be paying well over the initial $60 for a new game. Also the console exclusive crap will continue. They may never be as bad as Capcom, but like I said 3 games in a year that are all the same core game. Everything on the Vita (save touch screen obviously) could have been put on the initial release and given to everyone (PS3, 360, Vita).
I've already decided that I won't buy the next game at launch because of this. And now the "Komplete" edition may not even end up really being complete if they release the extra costumes. Then what's next? The extra tower missions? An Ultimate Komplete edition that has all of the DLC on disc? Where does it stop?

I think it's more likely that the're paying homage to the old Red Robin MKII rumor by giving Ermac a MKII costume which sort of makes sense seeing as Red Robin was meant to be a Red ninja pallet swap with Dark Red (Crimson) where the black normally was with all the other ninjas.
