No, he sounds like Scorpion, from the MK games. Ed Boon is still providing the voice for the character.

Actually, Ed only voices the "Get Over Here" sound clips.

The actual story mode voice actor for him in MKvsDCU was a professional VA named Patrick Seitz, and it sounds like they brought the same guy back for MK9.

yeah thats ok to me.I realy like the fact that ed boon does the voice.It pisses off my bro and his friend when i mention it(they're sub fans)they start saying "ed boon is biased"and this and that.....Priceless.

Patrick may have been a professional, but he fucked up Scorpion's voice in mkvsdc. I just couldn't take Scorp seriously. Hopefully he does a better job this game. I honestly wouldn't mind if Boon stepped into the audio room and voiced the entire Script for Scorpion. As long as he doesn't say "Suckers" again when he Captured Kitana from Liu and Subby. That was dreadful lol.

I'm not really happy with the quality of the acting, I wish these game directors would get pickier with these performers, they are getting paid. God of war 3 gets all this hype but I swear that game had the absolute worst voice acting I've ever heard and I can't believe someone approved it, I hope the MK team isn't as easy going with the voice acting.

Irealy don't know what got in your coffee(thats IF you drink coffee)today but i had no problem with the voice acting except for athena's voice.That was just horrible why they changed it from her original God of War or her God of WAR 2 voice is beyond me.

I thought the voice acting was very well done in MKvsDCU. There were a few missteps, but almost all of those were on the DC side. Shang was really the only badly voiced MK character IMO...well, and Shao Kahn, what little of him was in the game. Steve Ritchie really is the only man who can do Kahn right IMO.

But anyway, Patrick's Scorpion I felt sounded exactly like what I expect Scorpion's voice to sound like, very similar to how Ed did the voice in the MK4 endings or Deception and Armageddon Konquest (if that actually was all Ed, which I'm not entirely sure of), but unlike those games, actually delivered a believable performance that wasn't just cheesy amateur hour acting or poorly written lines. I'm glad it looks like he's back.

Yeah, I can see where your coming from. Idk maybe I was still in my wtf is up with this game phase when I heard his mkvsdc voice. I didn't really start enjoying it till after the story mode. Well if he did as good a job as you say Razor, I hope he does an equally, or better job this go around. The one liner in Scorpions Combo vid did sound pretty good.

Yeah i know what you mean his voice in mk vs dc was what i would expect scorpion to sound like.But i hope that we get to play the part where he kills old subby...i can see it now,right before he kills him youget amessage from the game [Warning] Scorpion is about to say some realt nasty stuff to sub-zero for what he's done to him....hahaha that would be funny.I'm only joking though that being in the game would be weird and dumb.But kinda funny.It'd go against the serious tone that they are goin for in this game.
