I wouldn't mind Friendships, though. At least Friendships can be something that fits the character's theme.

Shang Tsung makes a rainbow with his magic? Out of character, but I buy that he CAN do that.

Cyrax turns into a shark? LOLWUT.

I think animalities could be awesome with all this new tech. Scorpion could turn into a ShoeBill.

Animalities were awful. We don't need any of the silly finishers that aren't fatalities, and honestly two fatalities is enough per character. The more time spent on fluff like this, the less time spent on good character designs, story and gameplay balancing.

Well what about just the Mercy feature then?

No. I am of the opinion that these things should not be brought back. The only animalities I can see having reason are Nightwolf turning into a wolf and Liu Kang becoming a dragon, and since there are only two of them, they can just be Fatalities.

I don't know about Animalities, but Friendships should come back.

Think about the possibilities:

-Mileena ends a match by taking a dead animal carcass and trying to give it to the other guy as a peace offering. The other guy's face turns green and he runs away. She shrugs, licks her chops, and chows down on it. FRIENDSHIP

-Johnny Cage is about to finish the other guy off, when all of a sudden, a bunch of Tarkatan children run up asking for autographs. Camera cuts to the other fighter coming out of his daze, only to see Cage furiously signing souvenirs. The other fighter rolls his eyes and looks annoyed. FRIENDSHIP

-Sub-Zero starts to charge up his freeze powers, and the other guy gets scared and flinches. Then it turns out he was just using his powers to make a couple of snowcones, and gives one to the other guy as he looks puzzled. FRIENDSHIP

Mercy would be fun. It could be the ultimate insult to an opponent, like using Dan Hibiki in Street Fighter

I'd rather have hara-kiri's back. But I even found those stupid. If you're going to kill yourself, why are you going to do it in the most painful way? Might as well let your opponent perform a fatality on you.

I say no to both. I want this game to be taken as seriously as possible. Although, I wouldn't mind Hara Kiri's as much... just as long as someone dies a brutally painful death.

Mercys could be fun online when ur having that winner stays on. it'd be satisfying to beat someone twice.............................or could be funny watching it blow up in someones face

Mercy's fine. It could lead to extra fatalities. But they should probably do away with the gag 'alities'.
