Here is another Snippet of Flemeth from Dragon Age 2, Acting the way Sindel should...in my humble opinion at least...

Its even better if you just look at this picture while listening to her voice on the video.

You could even go as far as saying this might be what she is like even when she is good....just imagine what she could be like if she were evil...

LOVES.... IT.

While I do like her look in this new game and I like the way it harkens back to her MK3 appearance, it doesn't live up to my expectations I have to say - not after this;
which to me was perfection. I love everything about this, it's like her old MK3 look but infinitely more befitting a warrior queen. And her hair looks amazing in this render, I wish it could look this good in game. She looks beautiful but a little bit haunting.

Yea. Indeed her hair is her trademake hopefully she can use her hair in her punch commands and specials and her float across the screen hurling fire balls out the mouth! Lol
SHE WHIPS HER HAIR (BACK and FORTH) SHE WHIPS HER HAIR (BACK and FORTH) SHE WHIPS IT (REAL GOOD)!
Hair Whip Special Confirmed, Bitches!

I'm not sorry for anyone who really didn't like that special ability of hers, because (quite frankly), its one of my top favorite specials in the entire series and Sindel's trademark:
I am indeed a very happy fan. I just read that thread regarding some of the leaked special move files and Sindel has "Hair Whip" listed which confirms it as more than just a "throw move".
We had some confirmation of her "hair powers" when she was first revealed in that Mag, but, that was slightly uncertain up until this point.
I. Am. Excited!
Woah! I didn't notice that. I was trying to understand what was going on with that fatality during the small preview in that demo.
Sounds really cool, but, well, I guess I'm just desperate for some really awesome and wicked Scream and Hair Fatalities before accepting any others.
On a really positive note, I'm happy we are getting some glimpses of "magical" Fatalities. The head explosion would had pissed me off if it didn't feature that awesome magical effect.
Can't wait to see more.
Agreed!
I picture Sindel as the silent kind of villian. As the very intimidating mysterious woman who "floats around" and suddenly explodes when ready to strike.
Judging by her intro however, she seems to be portrayed as the opposite. I don't really mind because I can accept her as the "load" villain as long as they remain true to her essence (dark attitude).
PS: Those videos are cool. They do suit Sindel. I would change the voice a bit, though. IMO, she sounds a little too old for Sindel.
Very nice points!
I see what you are saying about Sindel being more prominent as an Evil Character than a Good guy. I guess I have to agree you are right, but, only because we haven't seen the team give her the superb story treatment she deserves (after MK3).
She's been stuck in the background for way too long (though I particularly enjoyed her role in MKD and konquest).
Its time for the Queen to shine again.

Awesome, awesome thread.
I love the way you describe how you want Sindel portrayed Queve...Because thats how I have ALWAYS seen her. Someone very quiet, and reserved, but vicious (when she is evil) and screaming out loud on the inside...
Ironic considering her title as the Banshee.

Shao Kahn is usually a prominent character. At his side, I think she will stand out more, be more prominent herself in the series.
If she turns good again, I doubt she'll be any different that the unnecessary, background character she was before.
However, I'm sure she will turn good again. I just wish it wouldn't happen too suddenly like in MK3. We never get to "feel" her transition because it's so instant.
There should be tension between her and her daughter, she should feel hesitation when commiting evil, receive interrupting flashbacks, feel torn between truth and lies.... All these things should occur and lead to her transition. It should not happen instantly with no struggle or emotions.
If this were to happen, then I would love for her to turn good. If not, if her change will be without any conflict or feeling or character development, then I rather she just stay evil.
I'd rather have a female Shang Tsung-type villain, than a voiceless, forgotten heroine queen like before.
But again, I'm positive she'll turn good again, so it doesn't matter. And thanks for posting too!

I was never a big fan of her until I replayed UMK3 a year or so ago and she ended up as one of my favourites. I really like the look of her this time and there's nothing I've seen that's been disheartening, I just hope that she regains some of the powers she lost in MKD. I want her to fly and I want hair attacks.
As for what the hair attacks should look like, I actually liked how in Annihilation (terrible as that film is) her hair literally turned into whips. I'd love it if her hair move was something among the lines of that.

YES!!
Those razor-sharp whips were STELLAR!
I too wish they would bring those back. It's cool grabbing and throwing people around, but we should get to slash, slice and dice them too!
One thing I've always fantasized about is Sindel having "living hair."
Much like Medusa who's snakes are always moving and have a life of their own, I wish Sindel's hair would act the same way, floating and moving around as if it were alive, or at least as if soft wind was constantly blowing in it.
That would be SWEET imo.

Same here. A younger voice = perfection!
And that ominous music they play as she emerges, that silence that fills the air, the tension she brings, the hypnotic attention they pay her, that feeling/vibe of great importance, wisdom, and majesty that she radiates are all things Sindel's presence should also deliver imo.

I love Sindel. Honestly, she was the last great new character the team has created. She was the only character interesting and unique introduced in MK3.
In saying that, I'm happy they kept her outfit the same. Yeah, she may be a Queen but she's an undead EVIL Queen. I'm pretty sure her evil undead self wanted something more revealing.
I'm so happy they gave her back A hair move. The hair whip is something I'm immensely excited for.
I just hope they also bring back her hair grab+ throw. It was definitely not cartoony, it was supernatural and inhuman. Not to mention badass.
Her voice, I was initially not impressed with after the voice leaks but when I heard the laugh I felt they did a great job.
