Wow, some great posts here! Especially Baraka407's! That shows exactly how much he's devoted to the character!
About all that "rebellion" stuff, I think it could be an awesome turn of events! Think about this: Earthrealm "league" vs. Tarkatans vs. Shokans vs. Outworld "league" vs. the neutral guys. I mean, back then, we only had the good guys (Earthrealm) against the bad guys (Outworld). But now, with all of those "change the past to protect the future" things, all the MK Universe can be f*ck*d up with all of those new rivalries, meaning that instead of saving the realms, the "back to the future" kind of thing can make things goes even worse!!!
Sh*t, so many possibilities! HELL YEAH!!!

I also agree with Crixus. I could barely stand a chance against his both-feet-flying-kick. I think those kind of details makes a character more unique, and Baraka shall have this move in this next game.

Baraka does. Sure, they certainly don't need to give Baraka an, I don't know, personality. But it couldn't hurt! I think that he does need a motive, otherwise he's just a collection of cool moves.

That is weird. Like half the posts in the thread got dragon points. No one in this thread did. That's really, really weird!

So he'll be 95% of fighting game characters out there.

And 50% of adventure game heroes.

And hell, he'll still be less annoying than Sonic the Hedgehog.

But he'll only be 25% of your average Mortal Kombat character. That's why I don't like Baraka.

Man, some really good ideas came out here! I totally agree on Baraka getting some more personality (or motive, depends on how you see it). He needs to stand out for something. Trying to be the alpha leader, that's a story we know. I don't mind that, but give him a reason for trying to be like that. Now it's kinda like: Hellooooo! U my boss??? I kill you!

The disembowelment fatality is the one I was referring to in my first post. That sounds so gory and it has good chance to be in I think. We probably see 2 fatalities, so which one to drop then? I've always liked the Blades Lift, as it seems like a painful way to die. Seeing the victim slowly slide onto the blades was always a nice effect to me.

As for the decapitation: It was suitable during the classics. But we've seen so many heads popping off during the years, and so many ways to do it, I think they drop some of these. Starting with Baraka's one, but that's just my idea.

The staples were indeed badass! But I fear we're not gonna see them this game. Doesn't Kung Lao split Baraka after MK Trilogy? Logicallywise, he's not have them as this takes place during MK1 - MK3. I wanna see those staples back though.
