So you'd be cool if the boards went thusly:

Person 1: I like a thing.
Person 2: I agree.

or

Person 1: I do not care for something.
Person 2: I concur with that statement.

'Cause that doesn't make for the best conversation. See, I like the wildly different opinions and dynamic personalities that these communities can foster. Whether or not those opinions or personalities fall in line with my way of thinking.

Yeah it doesn't look that interesting. I have no idea what they could add to spice it up. Personally, I hate the ice arms. Maybe give Subby a giant kata that translates to "Heavenly King" on his back. Or maybe even take his mask off and add the giant red scar to his face. I wouldn't be disappointed to have maskless, young sub back.

Sub-Zero also needs his shoulder guard things to be more "pointy" and sharp. Those weird shoulder things are awesome!

okay, now that is a badass Sub-Zero. I wouldn't mind him looking like that. Sort of an updated MK1 look.

and optimus, do it

Grime, a good example of the kind of discourse I enjoy is XD's Storyline Discussion thread in the Overall MK forum. He and I disagree on occasion, but the vast majority of our views sync up, and yet the whole topic is like a dozen pages of long, wordy posts and some of his thoughts and ideas have ended up incorporated into my own, making them much more elaborate, and I'd like to think vice versa. What's so great about discussing or debating with someone like that is because I feel like he and I are actually on the same level mentally and creatively, when we DO disagree, we don't act like fucking assholes to one another, we can actually do it in a way that feels worth my time, like even if I think he's wrong about something, I might still find something I can use or be inspired in some way.

On the other hand, when I disagree argumentatively with a person, no one learns anything or grows mentally, the vast majority of the time, each side's point of view is written off by the other as irrelevant to them.

Besides, I'm not here for "dynamic personalities" and I'm not entertained by conversations themselves. I'm entertained by Mortal Kombat and I'm here to refine and share my ideas about Mortal Kombat.

I guess what it comes down to, is while your reason for being here might be social, mine on the other hand is scholastic. I'm more interested in the facts than the opinions.

Fair enough, I just like seeing other people's viewpoints. I don't necessarily feel the need to agree with them.

that one looks pretty wicked, I also hoped on a more MK 1 based look. Like Vincent Proce's drawings.

PLus I forgot to mention earlier that if they give sub zero his MK1 and 2 fighting stance back..he will look more badass.

Sub-Zero looks perfectly fine in this game The simplicity of the design is the right direction to go. i hate it when they give him and Scorpion huge shoulder pads, elbow pads, spikes and all that crap.

His design is so good in it's most basic form that when you add too much it starts to take away from the design.

My main critique right now about his mk9 look is that I want him to lose the elbow pads he has.

His mkda ninja look was near perfect in my opinion. So was his mk vs dc look. The shoulder pads were a little too big though.

But then again in response to the person who asked up above :

"Would I be happy if they just put in his MK4 simplified look"?

Actually yes. I would be. The design of Scorpion and Sub-Zero are so strong as graphic designs and silhouettes that they can be completely bare and work.

I'd be fine with a pure MK4 Sub-Zero minus all the belts and shoulder and knee pads.

This is my favorite Sub-Zero design. Its classic Sub-Zero with nice new details. The new ninja boots and forearm guards look awesome.

But I am going to miss thinking of Vince's theme song.
