MKA Konquest mode allowed a full unlocked krypt when all of the Relics were recovered. I can see the challenge tower implementing something similar. Alt costumes, extra stages, behind the scenes videos, fatalities, and a menu for modifiers would seem like the best "gift" to unlock at the end.

I do not believe it will be a fighter or port of HD remade old mk games.

There's 90% chance they're bullshitting you about how "awesome" the reward is and it winds up being something like Cooking with Scorpion II.

That fucking sucked ass. Took all the fun out of unlocking stuff,which was my favorite part of the 3D MKs.


But... But "Cooking with Scorpion II" would be the awesomest reward ever. ;_;

In all seriousness,though,I will stand by my earlier supposition - I think that it'll be some sort of teaser trailer for either the next game in the series or the live-action movie.

Boon said in the video, that when you saw someone online who had beat all the Challenge stages, you would know.

To me that sounds like either a custom Rank, custom Skin, or unlocked Character.

Actually you unlock super rock. He is a super hidden secret character that can only be playable through a hack or through a special code from gamestop then still have to unlock him in the game by restarting tower challenge mode agian.

I love that idea but not just retro outfits but ALL of the entire casts outfits from EVERY MK they've ever been in e.g. Sub-Zero would get MK1 retro, MKII retro, MK3 Retro, UMK3 Retro, MK4 Pri, Alt & 2nd Alt, MK:DA Pri & Alt, MK:D Pri & Alt, MK:SM Only & MK VS DCU Only (With Concept mask). As for all the DLC, maybe we'll get all the"DLC" thats actually already on the disc, and god I hope we get Motaro as the character you unlock for completing all 300 aswell.

Actually,now that I think about it,it could also be Quan Chi.

If it wasn't for the leaks,nobody would even suspect that he's in the game,making him the perfect unlockable character to completely blindside us.

Maybe you unlock all the nostalgic stuff, retro musics and sounds,retro menu, retro life bar..... that is the most close of hd mk that we can get, and for me the best reward

Im not really sure cause they were making it sound like a pretty huge reward. Maybe a complete krypt unlock. All hidden characters unlocked dunno well I guess I just wait and see.

I am wondering what the challenge itself will be any ideas?

normally, id guess playable bosses. assuming (which i do) that the end game challenge involves battling goro, kintaro and shao kahn, it will most likely simply unlock those three characters.

then again...

theyre hyping this up so much. SO MUCH. i feel like i should really prepare for disappointment, but i just cant help it...

the only things i can think of that would be worth all the hype are:

- all playable bosses, including MOTARO!!

- every fatality and x-ray for every character unlocked, and brand new finishers (friendships, hara-kiri, brutality) unlocked.

- every alternate costume for every character unlocked

- ALL OF THE ABOVE.

- a DLC voucher thing?? like, £30 free DLC or something ?

- unlocks a whole new mode

- unlocks an extension to story mode, allowing you see even more of the story, possibly including some secret, unlocked characters

- alternatively, allows you to play through a different version of story mode for each individual character (unlikely)

- a trailer announcing Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter

- a totally awesome totally epic feature length animated movie telling us the story of what happens AFTER the events of this game all the way up to Armageddon, nicely setting up the next game without having to make seperate games from mk4. (a little far-fetched i know)

some of these are...unlikely to say the least. but it could be one of these...?

If it's gonna be a character, I think it's gonna be a boss like Shao Kahn.

If bosses are playable, I'd rather unlock them through story mode. Giving all the unlockables from beating one impossible mission is stupid. What would be the point? If you unlock Quan Chi, I wouldn't sweat over it.
Personally, I'm also leaning toward zombie alternate costumes for everyone. Not the very best reward, but only unlockable in end game.

Anywho, my guesses (in no particular order):

-Chameleon and or Khameleon? If they fleshed them out with they're own moves, and set-up a better story for them, I'd gladly welcome them! And with Boon saying that they'll never be in another MK game, that could set-up them up to be quite the surprise.

-Rain? He'd definitely be a pleasant surprise, with Boon hinting him as DLC.

-Motaro?... Maybe... But somehow I'm thinking it's not going to be any bosses.

-Zombie Alternates? Honestly, I'd hope it isn't this. Not because I don't like Zombie Alternates, because I do. I'd just hope the reward is something... I dunno... Better! Boon is building it up as if it's something like a character unlock. But I'm gonna keep my hopes as the level of excitement that it is the Zombie Alternates, so if it's something better, my hopes aren't dashed.
