I personally loved it, though I think it would have been better if she simply incapacitated a few of the warriors rather than kill all of them.

For example, the warriors run at her. The first to be killed is Kabal. As Stryker runs at her, she breaks his jaw with a punch (leaving him incapable of fighting back and out of the battle) before knocking him from the battle with a kick. Jax makes a decent attempt to subdue her but is killed (I loved the high heel to the throat!). She temporarily defeats Nightwolf, Sonya and Johnny Cage, before countering an attack from Sub-Zero with enough force to cause a serious technical malfunction (effectively killing him in his robotic form). She breaks Smoke's legs before tossing him out of the church window with her hair. She pummels Jade into a coma before turning on Kitana and killing her. Nightwolf then proceeds to defeat her with his suicide ritual.

All in all that would have caused 5 killings, which is believable in her suped up form, and would have left 3 of the other fighters in such a bad condition they would be completely incapable of facing off against Shao Kahn. Not only would it have looked better too, but it would be much more believable (and awesome) to know that Sindel was that powerful she could take on 10 fighters and manage to slaughter half and seriously mane the remainder. I also think it would be much more shocking for Liu Kang and Raiden to come back and realise that despite some of their friends being alive they were effectively left on their own to deal with the invasion.

Although, speaking of Kang, I often wondered what would have happened if Raiden went to the Elder Gods alone. Would he have been killed too?

She was empowered by the death of Shang Tsung. You're lucky she didn't wipe out the good guys entirely.

You know, if Scorpion had been the rampaging one, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have been empowered like Sindel, he'd already be that powerful.

I like the idea of Sindel being this deadly, but I hesitate to consider her a "legitimate" threat, as it was through absorbing Shang Tsung's soul the same way Mario eats mushrooms that she got stronger. It leaves the question of how powerful she truly was prior to Tsung's death.

But Scorpion? Nah, he's a legitimate badass, dude! Although, I do have this hilarious image in my head of Scorpion killing them all, but the idea is only good for say, a joke ending. Which is why it's a good thing it didn't happen, as NRS likely would have treated such an event with the utmost seriousness.

This. I don't understand how no one seems to take this into consideration even though it was a HUGE point.

After some thought, I do like the whole 'butterfly effect' concept to why this scene happened.

It was a direct result of Raiden killing Motaro. Raiden saw Motaro killing Cage in one of his visions, so he decided to make sure Motaro died before this could pass. Because of this however, Shao Kahn felt threated enough to kill Shang Tsung to give Sindel a power boost.

So the theme of trying to fix the timeline and only make it worse is the most evident in this scene. I stiil feel however that the characters could have had better deaths.
