Is it possible that the site recognizes IP addresses and they simply stop counting votes after one submission? I'm going assume not for practical purposes, but would that even be plausible?

I seriously doubt they'll actually pick a write-in vote even if it does gain the majority. If that were the case, I could easily see that being abused by online websites that thrive on stupidity such as ruining polls and such and using proxy servers to do so(4chan). However, I do hope for the best and that'd surely be awesome.

As much I'd like a new character, there is no way its gonna win. I'd rather a another game I'm excited about that has a chance win. Voted for Bioshock.

The gears fans cheated 2 win. It was proven, we have the opportunity to vote multiple times and one of the contenders is gears.

Each write-in counts as a vote for Mortal Kombat. So when the show airs and they announce the nominees if MK isn't announced next to the competition then we know we didn't win.

Anyway, I think its time for all of the mk kommunity to get our revenge on the gears of war fans for their fluke win over Shao Kahn with gamespots contest.

I decided to write in a vote anyway. I can't let MK down.

Except we weren't up against Gears of war fans alone there were certain mischievous people voting him up and cheating for lulz. And that itself started as a crusade against the Gamespot poll like they did with their Heroes poll and it just kept going because they thought it was funny. The bottom line is that GoW fans don't have anything to gain from winning. This will be a huge victory for the MK community if we get this.

Yes indeed. Arkham City fans don't have anything to gain either, it's already one of the most anticipated games of next year, and they've already announced they're debuting the next trailer at the VGAs anyway.

My vote for MK was in as soon as the voting started awhile ago. Hopefully MK will win but I have a feeling the VGA's are fixed.
