Aesthetically pleasing...but for the most part, indifference.

When I first saw the trailer last week, I had a strange feeling while watching..almost like when I was a kid and I saw MK2 in arcades..I am very excited about mk9 and I think this one is gonna be huge!

Probably the first game I'm really looking forward to since MK: Deception. Still "final thoughts" is a tough thing to say, given how little we've seen of the whole. I'm trying to reserve my hype in case I get let down, but right now I have a pretty good feeling about it.

Gameplay looks amazing. Fatalities look amazing. I can't wait for tag-team mode.

But I'm very nervous, verging on pessimism, about the story mode and final roster.

Looking good so far! The new MK made forget about MVC3! I like the character intros also its a good touch! The Tag Team stuff was awesome!

I creamed my pants when they where showing game play and fatalitys,

during the interview where Ed said there was co-op multiplayer like tekken tag, i shat my pants.

Thats one nasty pair of pants i had to wash.

But seriously I am stoked about just a new mortal kombat thats going back to its roots since trilogy!

The game looks really good. Everything I've wanted for the next game is in this game. My high did die down a little when seeing the combat. It looks like combos are harder and there is less juggling. It also looks like they ditched the pro-moves system. With that said I'm not sure if the combat will look great on paper, but ultimately be broken. I do like the look and feel of the combat, but I am worried that it could be a mess. The inclusion of a special meter is a much needed addition to the game, and I really like the special moves and x-ray moves.

Everything else so far looks really good, and it shows that the 3D MKs are inferior, and that we can get a deep fighter in 2D. Now lets hope there is lots of extra content, and that we can get dlc this time.

Really excited but with cautious optimism. I really like what I've been seeing, I'm just worried that they'll mess with the story too much. But still: MORTAL KOMBAT!!!
