I'm a sucker for collector's editions (if they're good). But I've learned to weed out the good from the bad. MK:Deadly Alliance remains a game so overwhelming bursting with extra content, it's mind-boggling.

For me?

- Behind the scenes content, including interviews with the cast and crew responsible.
- The game OST on CD
- Exclusive themes and costumes for your console of choice, like a Scorpion costume for your Xbox avatar
- Free token to redeem the DLC character when he/she comes out (and you could do that Mass Effect "only if you buy it new" approach. I don't mind it.)
- Ports of MK 1-4. If this game is a look back at that era, it's good to have a reference for it, right? And MK4 simply needs to stop being that bastard child of the series we keep ignoring.
- Artbook or DVD content with artist commentary

And these three are personal picks:
- "Cooking with Scorpion... part 2"
- "Public Apology for MK: Special Forces" (let's see those tears, Ed)
- "MST3000-style version of MK: Annihilation"

A PC version of Mortal Kombat.

A whole separate disc full of behind the scenes content. I wouldn't be too surprised.

And I know this probably will never happen, but a port of either Mortal Kombat Trilogy or Mortal Kombat Gold.

I think it should all be in the original version except for maybe the Official Soundtrack. With collector's editions and DLC becoming such a big part of the industry I can see alot of this being in either of them.

They better not have console exclusive characters as that is really annoying.

4. A Toaster with the MK logo on it, when the toast pops up after it's done it says TOASTY!

Actually, I would love to see Kratos in MK, I think he'd fit in really well. Not necessarily within the storyline itself, but just as a playable character.

He was already in Soul Calibur... I don't see that happening, unfortunately.

I don't like it when they are from the Mk universe and exclusive. Like say the PS3 verion gets Baraka exclusive and the 360 version gets Sonya. If they are just a character from the consoles other games I don't mind as long as they aren't too big a distraction. Kratos would be a good fit for MK.

MK Deception is still the best collectors edition I have ever bought. I want CE that is on par or better than that.

They should just include one or more of the classic era games (1-4) with FULL online capabilities.

How about a collectors edition that just sticks with the formula from the last gen games and not these new special editions where the box is bigger than an entire console box lol. Seriously, we don't need action figures,a duffel bag (like in GTA 4),or any of that extra shit and charge like $20 extra dollars for it lol.I just want a simple tin box ( like Halo 2 or even MKD) Keep it plain and simple please. Of course include an extra disc with behind the scenes,making of,character cards like in MKD,artwork.

I would be happy with just a Mortal Kombat comic book (or graphic novel). Maybe telling the MK story from one character's POV. It would have to be one of the characters that have at least been technically around since MK1, playable or not (remember Reptile and Ermac were 'there' in a sense) and one that has been around, at least in the background of all if not most of the MK storyline up to MK: A. It would be a nice farewell to the old story.

Maybe depending on which kind of collector's edition you get, would determine which character the story's POV would be. ie. Get the Sonya collector's edition and you get Sonya's POV.

Unfortunately, I don't see this happening. Too many POVs to write, too costly to print and it would be a pain to make sure all the pre-order stores (ie Gamestop) would order the correct collector edition. Most store clerks just click on the first selection thinking they are all the same or just not caring.
