But seriously, i'm a GOW fan and anyone who likes him (Kratos) as i do could say the same. I'm also a big fan of MK and especially Raiden. So why wouldn't Raiden be able to kick Kratos ass only for Kratos has proven angry angainst the Gods and he came through being the underdog?

That is a really interesting question, but in my opinion, most of the times it is a fan related answer and a question about taste. i.e: I always thought Raiden had what it takes to defeat Superman in MKvsDC, but i was the only one in my corner of friends. They all were bigger fans of Clark Kent.

Man to man the only guy in MK who would stand a chance is Onaga, and that's 'cuz of the Kamidogu. Kratos in terms of raw power outclasses what we've seen MK characters do. Slamming the Hydra around with his chain blades, grappling with Hercules himself and beating him to death with his bare hands, stuff like that. Getting eaten by a Titan doesn't even slow him down. Dude's just insane when it comes to badass feats...

As an MK and GOW fan, nope. None of them could beat Superman or the Flash either.

Still in MK the whole the whos stronger than who thing never holds up.

Character A beats character B.

Then Character B beats Character C.

Then Character C beats A and B at the same time.

The only glitch I recall in any God of War game which easily comes to mind is the boss battle in God of War (1) with the game freezing. If the game wasn't so hard as hell then it wouldn't really be an issue to me.
But whatever. Other than that, I don't see why you should neglect the series, it's a very good action adventure game.

Anyway, my knowledge of God of War only goes up to the first and second game, and even then it's been so long since I've played them.
But I think most of Kratos victories had to do with little magic but more strength.
Strength wise, the only characters I can see going against him is Jax, Goro, Kintaro and Shao Kahn.

But over all, Ermac alone will kill him with a thought.
There's nothing more powerful than the power of Telekinesis.
Which I'm sad that a lot you people failed to even mention.

And Kenshi, the fact that Kenshi has the ability to also Astral Projectile, wow. And Krato's Medusa head definitely won't work against him.

So yes, at least one character will be able to stand a chance against Kratos, not to mention WILL win. Just because Kratos kills Gods for a living, doesn't mean he's untouchable. In fact, Kratos actually dies in his games, only to come out of Hell later.

So there you go. An unbiased opinion from a person who enjoys both franchises. With that said, the smile on my face when a lot of people were butt hurt over Kratos being in a MK game. Good times, good times.

Scorpion wins. Scorpion's already dead. But it won't be an easy defeat.

I don't know/remember how fire resistant Kratos is.
Scorpion cutting his head off will definitely be a sure thing, unless God of War III said otherwise.
Kratos is not simple to kill either. He has died from being impaled only to waltz out of hell. So again, off with Kratos head is Scorpion's sure way of victory.
They will most likely end up fighting in Hell and Scorpion is strong during that time.

Sub-Zero, that's really in question.
I'm not sure how strong Sub-Zero's freeze is.
Throughout the times you seen him actually use it on characters in cinematics, it was never a deep freeze (in which a blow can separate the body).
Him freezing characters is more of forming a shell on them just to simply immobilized them. One blow the ice breaks off of them.
Then you gotta question if Fatalities really count, because Fatalities wise, he deep freezes and kills opponents like it's nothing.

But in God of War, I THINK 2, Kratos can break out of Ice. Fuck, he can break out of stone for that matter, Medusa stone, and I'm pretty sure we all know the concept of that.
He also wields Golden Fleece arm guards which can bounce back projectiles (think Wonder Woman).
And again, Kratos is ridiculously strong, I cannot express that enough. If my memory wasn't so garbage I would mention some moments in the game on how strong he is just to get an idea.

I know a lot of people may not like my answer, but I don't even think the Grandmaster version Sub-Zero will win. Sub-Zero's freezing abilities is the only thing he has going for him which Kratos can over come that. So the close combat part is definitely in question.
Strength wise, well, I know Sub-Zero is strong enough to reach into someone's back and rip their spine out damn near easily.

I think I argued this with other people at Gametrailers. Could Kratos take on the Mortal Kombat cast? Pretty much what it came down to is a stalemate. Mainly do to Kratos's powers not making any sense.

Kratos wins. Kills Gods, Titans, Medusas, hellhounds, The Sisters of Fate, Went to hell twice, killed the god of gods, had sex with the goddess of love, made the world a living shithole just to kill somebody. I say thats determination right there. Spread plagues, storms, and souls everywhere.

I have noticed that Kratos is a God, not a titan or protogenoi, and is GOW either the programmers couldnt deal with the scope of him fighting Uranus (heaven) Tartarus (hell), Gaia (mother earth), Aether (light) and Erebus (darkness) as well as other protogenoi (first born entities), or Kratos knows that hes nothing to such forces.

In MK the elder gods take simmilar role of creation, uber entities, so i think they could vanquish kratos if they were playable.

There is only one Medusa, those other ones are Gorgons. But that huge one Kratos killed in GOW II is Euryale, sister of Medusa (but unlike Medusa, who is barely tolerable to look at, Euryale looks hideous).

Kratos went to the Underworld.....let me think......like 6 or 7 times. On the second-to-last time he visited hell, he killed Hades in his own domain (by taking Hades' Soul Claws, Kratos used them to rip Hades' soul out of his body). Later on after escaping the Underworld, Kratos killed Heracles (better known among us as Hercules).

All it takes is one well timed bite. Kratos may be this magnificent badass or whatever, but he's also known to enjoy sex and boobies. Mileena's got boobies. There are any number of situations Mileena can take advantage of, none of which force her to remove the veil. Say he stops to rest for a moment when they're done... Chomp. Say they have a little foreplay and she gets down on her knees and slowly slips off the veil when suddenly... Chomp. Assuming the two aren't introduced as enemies, Mileena's got the upper hand in this scenario. Of course, knowing Kratos, his next game would probably be the search for his missing genitalia from the afterlife.
