We may have lots of them but none of this type. Kitana, Mileena, Jade, Skarlet are Ninjas. Sonya and Sindel are not. That's 4 out of 6 being ninjas. Red Sonja is a barbarian. Kitana, Sindel, Jade, Mileena died in MK9. So they can bring in new characters like Red Sonja.

You forgot Sheeva, Tanya, Li Mei, Frost, , Kira, Khameleon, and Ashrah. Tanya, Frost, and Khameleon are also ninjas. And no, she wouldn't be too overpowered for MK. Kratos wasn't.

Frost and Tanya were highest voted female characters, in that order. Some of Ninja girls that died should stay dead so that new female characters get a chance to shine. You are right. We have Kratos in MK and MK characters could hold their own. They should give Rain a love triangle story.

Quit bringing up the love triange Rain crap. That's for a different discussion, ma'am. On topic, yeah, MK lacks female characters. Doesn't mean we need a guest like Red Sina, we need original characters, like Skarlet as an actual character in story, Ruby, and a bunch more characters that have only been background or comic-book characters. Those are what need to be brought in, not more guests.

Ashrah could do with a new look. Red Sonja doesn't need to be a guest. Why can't they just make one of least popular females to be like Red Sonja. Or just buy rights to include her in MK. Red Sonja is alredy established.

Because we don't need more guests. Taking a character and putting them in MK was used for the "Green Milk Effect", A.K.A, cash-cows. And retconning a part of a chaacter to make them more like another just takes away from the originality of the character. And copying another character for an MK character is awful.

Guests are always welcome. Scorpion is a guest in Injustice. Red Sonja would probably be the best guest MK have ever seen. She wasn't voted sexiest female in comics for no reason. I'm just saying there are a lot of ninja women in MK. Keep some of them dead. Red Sonja is a barbarian. She would play completely different to other females. She's very original and well established. She will be a welcome addition, she may even take top spot for females.

Let me explain this to you in the best way I can.
Putting a guest character into another video game's story is not good. It's unoriginal. Red Sonja doesn't ned to be the next female in MK, an existing female needs to return. I'm not saying she's an awful excuse for a fighter, but that she wouldn't be the role 95% of fans of MK would want her to be. If she were like Kratos, (had a spot on the roster, but not story, only appears for a short time in one game) than that would be fine. But you're talking about adding her to the full roster as a big part of the story. Big no. Taking another character would be unoriginal, and adding them to the actual story would just not work well for the fanbase. I don't see why people would think Red Sonja would be a good female for the MK roster when we have so many right now, we just need to expand upon them, like with Ashrah and Li Mei. Great characters, just need fleshed out a bit more.

Li Mei, yes good character. She should take the spot of a dead ninja woman. They could make her look like Elektra and/or Red Sonja. Li Mei wears some metal on her chest. Maybe she should wear all metal like Red Sonja.

Why would you get the rights to a character from that franchise and NOT pick Conan?

Ashrah is in the story- that hasn't changed. Anything before MK1 is unchangeed, and Shujinko met her in the Netherrealm let's say, around 25-40 years before MK1, considering the water in the Chaosrealm completely distorts how old we think Shujinko is. And Li Mei is Li Mei, not Red Sonja. We don't need to change her character or her design, we don't need to make her based off of another character from another franchise. We should leave all MK characters alone, and not rip off of other franchises.

And yes, Razor, Conan would be a much better choice, though I still wouldn't prefer anyone.

She's not original since you have Conan. She wouldn't be original to the game because she's not of Netherrealm Studios' creation either. If you want original, have a character that isn't based on anything that is existing right now. There's your originality.

Freddy Krueger Is not known for his fighting skills, Red Sonja is so she will be a better fit than Freddy ever was. There is no other woman that would be a better fit in MK than Red Sonja. There is Xena but she's minor compared to Red Sonja. Brace yourselves for Red Sonja movie. It's gonna be played by Amber Heard. She starred in Never Back Down which is cool film, best part is where nerd gets beat up for thinking he could hang out with cool boys.

If you are going to get the rights to a Conan character get the more popular one and the one THE COMICS ARE NAMED AFTER.

I have heard of Xena but before this thread i have never heard of Red Sonja, so...yeah.

So if I put a mask on, I'll be called a ninja despite I have no prior knowledge of acting like one? Sweet, I'll find a mask and walk around the city because I'll be known as a ninja.

But take a look here Noobsmoke_mk, have you realized that throughout your reign of asking for your beloved fictional hotness to make an appearance in this game, not a single soul has yet to agree with any kind of point you made to put her in? Notta. Your Red Sonja doesn't even feel worthy enough to make it as a guest character, in my opinion. To be honest, I never even heard of her until you mentioned her two years ago, and it's not because I live under a rock either.

Not to mention, your reasons for having her be a possibility aren't even good reasons. You want her in because you think she's hot, you think she's original, you think she'll be overpowered. Those aren't even reasons why she'll be a consideration at most.

@Mwgrant0 Why include Conan and not Hercules. Why not include Zeus. It's better just to include a woman and an iconic one at that. With males it gets complicated. With females it's just looking for someone hot that can kick ass. If Red Sonja is included as DLC it would be "do I want to play as hottest chick than totally kicks ass".

Say what you will, Red Sonja does fit MK. I could see NRS "borrowing" from the design. Good idea or not is another matter, but it's certainly plausible.
