From a business standpoint, I would probably do a remastered Mortal Kombat 1 & 2, with a focus on keeping it pretty close to the original. Or steering the story back where it should go. I think that would be the ultimate fan service and go over pretty well with people. Ideally I'd love to work on my own fresh arc, but I think that would come with earning some trust by delivering the blockbuster out the gate.
