3 new in game elements largest roster in mk history confirmed
qoute: In Sept OPM with the MKSM demo their is a Inside the game Intervew with Boon and others from the Development team behind MKSM. Now at the end of the interview Boon reveals that they are currently in the making of the next Motral Kombat Fighting game. Not much is revealed just the fact that they are making it and that there will be 3 new in-game elements never before seen in a MK game, Also he states that it will include the largest roster ever in a MK game. Even larger then trilogy? thats a lot of characters.
They even show this concept art of what could be a new character, He looked like a plain droid in a cloak but He could be someone from a previous MK underneth.
Boon didn't say weither it was on this gen or next gen but I assuming next gen.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know this has been posted not far down but few people have replied im guessing it was not posted in a way to attract enough speculation but this is official news from boon himself can someone who has the MKSM demo disk confirm this? and if so i think we got some info on mk 7 already let the speculation games begin!

There was discussion of this in my irc channel earlier today and most of us believe it will be MK Trilogy 2. Hopefully it will not be because it'll be a tragic mess if it is. Though that depends on how well it's done and who is in it. As long as the fighting engine is fixed or changed and made properly and tested, it should be great.
As for 3 new elements, we can only guess at what they could be. Let's hope they benefit the game rather than hinder it in some way.
I didn't know a new character had been unveiled, but whoever it is sounds badass from the description.

Well, Midway currently has been leased the acclaimed Unreal Engine 3, so I can only assume that's going the be the foundation of the fighting engine, since MK is the most obvious reason Midway has it.
(for those who've never heard of it, check out Gears of War for the 360)
I think I speak for the majority of MK fans when I say that I don't care about a 200 character roster, or more Puzzle and Chess. Just a new (and far better) fighting engine is all.

i disagree with kaizudragon because im a big MK fan and have been since MK1 playin as scorpian, and while i believe the fighting engine is important , i believe the characters and their story's and the main story is what orignally attracted me to the game and its the reason while im still playing their games now , so to me the story and the characters are the most important thing to the game, but i do believe it does need a good fight engine as well
