It's possible sometime in the future, but don't get your hopes up of a portable version of MKD or any other portable MK anytime soon.

PSP and DS are lookin good so I think MK will definetly be on them. Not anytime soon,but ............one day

I hope the MK Team decides to make a new 2D MK game for the PSP and DS...

I'm hopeing we get something around the lines MKTE for it. mabey not have all playable MKD guyz but have some new ones with the graphics taken down a notch but still up one from MKDA/MKTE for GBA.

Yeah, I want MK Gold on a portable. Preferably version 1 where it crashed all the time.

Or a remake of the Tiger LCD games. Those were hot.

I'd love to draw the barcodes with the DS stylus for the barcode game. That'd be awesome. And by awesome, I mean totally sweet.

mk gold comin to nintendo ds or psp.....definatly..cuz every system had mk4 but only 1 system had mk gold.... so....mk gold on a new portable sounds possible....hell slam some more characters in it....

mkd could make an appearence on the psp i don't know about the ds it seems a little less powerful a toned down mkda or mkg would be great on the ds

I say neither, they're just publicity stunts by Sony and Nintendo and likely won't even do well in the market. My opinion though, but who knows maybe they might just do good. People are already saying (and it ain't out yet) the PSP is far superior to the DS and will put Sony in the lead and make them the dominant company in both the console and portable markets. You know, Microsoft should try to make a portable system, what would it hurt for them to try, what could happen, it could bomb like the Virtual Boy and the Sega Nomad!
