Hey guys I'm back! None of you probably remember me, but...I'm back!

I'll try to make this quick, as I'm pretty sure you all have better things to discuss. We all know the ending of MKX by now, but it left me a little confused as to Shinnok himself.

He can't die, but he was once an ethereal spirit, so did being confined to a physical body become part of his first punishment?

Wait, so, if he can't die, but his body can definitely be damaged, what would happen if you sliced his head apart, like a pizza? Furthermore, what would happen if you smashed his head with a press? Or put it inside of a volcano? Is the head indestructible, but not the body?

On top of that, I wonder if he still has feeling in the head? Eternally having your neck tell you there's a problem through the sheer pain really IS a fate worse than death!

The same thing that happened to Raiden in MK deception: he is capable of creating a whole new body with no memories of the past.
However, in order to do so, Shinnok must escape from the NetherRealm.
Now, is up to Liu and Kitty to decide what to do with Shinnok's head---

Loved Shinnok's fate in MKX, gets around his immortality and reduces his chances of coming back in the future. Sadly Shinnok was cool as fuck in MKX.

Indeed. I'm sure if they want to use him though, they'll just use the 'clone' excuse.

You work with what you got...not what you hope for.

Kano had no problem just waltzing in to Raiden's temple and stealing Shinnok's amulet, I doubt finding a few body parts would be much more difficult.

Shinnok is alive and confined to the "living" head of his mortal form. Just like with Raiden, taking a mortal form makes Shinnok vulnerable. If the head were to be completely destroyed, Shinnok's essence would return to the nether. As was said multiple times in MKX, there are fates worse than death...I think being an all-powerful god, completely trapped and confined to an immobile head, forever unable to escape is a pretty horrible fate worse than death.

Next adventure game, you go around collecting Shinnok's bodyparts, then revive him to fight as the last boss...

Oh wait, that's Castlevania...

I imagine that if you did any of those things to his head, he'd essentially lose consciousness until it healed back into at least a disembodied head.

There is a massive part of me that literally wants Shinnok's head in Mortal Kombat Eleven.

There is just something darkly humourus about it.

Deleted scene:
Shujinko opens a chest. "The hell?"
Shinnok "I AM DEATH!"
Shujinko closes chest. "Liu What the fuck?"
Liu shrugs.

Shinnok then enjoyed his status as Liu Kang and Kitana's new volleyball. 8)

If his body or head is destroyed, his soul traps back in the netherrealm, where he gets something like a phisical like body again. Due to the fact he is immortal, he cannot be killed or refer to as dead in the netherrealm, and since he is the lord of that place, hes just like coming home again...

I am more interested in Havik and the chaosrealmers nature... they dont seem to be able to die anyway...maybe they are just already dead with their whole realm?! Hope the next game or the future comics will explain all these unanswered questions.

But tbh it doesnt really make sense to thinking about these dead ot alive thing in mortal kombat.... as you can see, D'Vorah even is not that easy to kill....even though shes mortal.
