Can we talk about Sonic Fox sandbagging...

I haven't kept up since week 3, but I know there were a few weeks he didn't make top 8.
Is he smashing through people?

Nope, just the opposite. He did make top 8 this week, his first match was against woundcowboy( a teammate). Wound before week 7 was in 8th place, just outside of the 6th place he'd need to be to advance to grand finals at the end of the season.
Last week...

As I said, Sonic, who hasn't needed the points since week 3, faced Cowboy last night. Sonicfox is a damned machine, but last night he played so uncharacteristically bad, especially in the final match of the set. He was using Cassie Cage, who he's known for slaughtering people with(including Cowboy in past weeks), but you'd never know it from last night. Jumping all over the screen, zero optimal combos that the kid could normally pull off in his sleep, playing a matchup that he absolutely knows, horridly...ugh. If you get the chance, watch the replay. If you've ever seen Fox play, even once, you know he wasn't even trying.
Oh...and my point about Woundcowboy's placement...
This week...

I'll catch the replay later today.
I've heard a lot of talk about him sandbagging though. I guess it would seem he's just trying to stack Burbank finals with the cR family.
It's rather refreshing though, I must admit. Sure, he could probably take first or second every week, but wouldn't that kind of crush morale? Lol. His reputation is already staggering to the point where if you ever had to fight him at a major in pools or semis (or even in ESL), you might as well just grab your coat and start back home.

Lmao, that dude hasn't been concerned about morale amongst the NRS scene since Batgirl dropped in Injustice.
But, I guess you're right, it's to be expected.

This. Sharing points, it kind of him. Also isn ́t he more focused on SFV now?

Really though, all these hitbox issues, glitches, and safe or plus 50/50s are crushing morale more so than Sonic winning all the time. Not to mention the majority of tech or glitches like that are pretty much common knowledge now. So a lot of people are abusing it.
Just like everyone knows to win against BRC, you simply pick any character with a projectile (susceptible to even the worst zoning in the game) and maintain your distance.
Bo's design is just so ironic to me. Specifically Bart, but it also applies to the other variations in ways. To thrive, he needs to be up close and personal while aiming for the corner. Or in Bart, out footsie you with his extended range. The irony now comes in when people get irritated of not being able to jump in for free or if I D4 a run-in. They'll get flustered and just back out to full screen and zone because why not?
Why deal with Bo's mixups and his set play when you can just play lame with projectiles full screen and Bo has literally no option besides inching in or burning resources. And even with armor, DM's headbutt is the way to go but unfortunately.....requires you to be on a certain level of drunk.

Oh, I know. Sonic alone is not turning morale on its ear and making top players leave. The game just has sooo much shady shit to deal with. Then you whip a 50/50 guessing game on top of that and frustration boils to a head.
Really hope the next game is something closer to MK9.
The difference between Sonic and everyone else has always been the fact that he just doesn't seem to mind rolling around in all the dirt this game affords you. Though I'd say Dragon seems to be fine with it too. Rekka scum, haha.

As far as Bo not having a projectile counter, um...
Sweep, hold down for "sexy pose" and roll up to your opponent.
I can't be the only person doing this shit.

Unleash was talking specifically about Bartitsu if i'm not mistaken, and it costs stamina anyway. Roll isn't going to work against someone who is zoning you correctly tbh, Bo is actually just straight up trash.
As for Sonic sandbagging, I wouldn't be surprised if he was, but he might just be legitimately losing. I'll have to check out that archive sometime.

Yeah that's all well and good when playing casual randoms. People unfamiliar with the MU get abused by Bo, but I meant more someone who knows Bo's limitations in and out.
But yes, DM is Bo's answer to zoning, even though his counter zoning methods are not fool proof. I mostly play Bartitsu, then Dragon Breath anyway, but I've tried DM, and just didn't enjoy the added struggle of keeping track of a "HEY TAKE THIS FREE FULL COMBO TROLLOLOL" vomit timer.
