Doubt its for MKX. MKX is done. If they had other DLC characters on the horizon surely they would've withheld the announcement of MKXL until they were finished and could be included.

Most likely for Injustice 2. Its too early for MK11- we probably won't be getting that anytime before 2019.

Content, yes, but not characters.

Actually content can very well include characters.

Especially given Ed's numerous musings about it yesterday.

Does that mean I EXPECT new characters? Hell no. I know better than to expect anything from NRS. But to sit around and claim matter-of-factly that "MKX is done" is just silly.

Maybe it's for Fujin or Noob.

I mean, I'm enjoying BRC to the fullest extent right now so I'm good. Not really expecting anything else.

But man oh man. Just...what if?

I'd swap Noob for Havik, but either way a guy can dream.

Interesting to note that the voice actor for Shinnok/Erron/Fujin is one that came back to voice intros for KP2. I'd say it's a possibility.

I HOPE its for Injustice 2. No need for them to add Michael Myers and Chucky the Doll.

More DLC would also be shitting in the faces of PC players that got ripped off. We never got an explanation for that from anyone.

It's highly possible that they will release one or two more characters, sort of like they did with Injustice. I doubt the "Spawn is licensed to WB for a game but the license is expiring soon" news that broke several months ago wasn't just pointless hearsay. That means he's showing up in either MKX or Injustice 2. If he shows up in MKX as a final piece of DLC it would be yet another guest on a roster already saturated with guests. If he shows up in Injustice...he's had a "vs. Batman" run before, so it'd be an interesting addition.

But that being said, NRS indicated more content will be coming. That doesn't mean characters, but it doesn't exclude the possibility of characters. It's a straight up 50/50, black and white, yes or no question...they either will release additional characters, or they won't. There is every bit as much posibility for there to be additional characters as there is additional costumes. From what I've been hearing thus far, the XL expansion is selling like crazy. It would only be logical that if NRS is still making money off the game, they continue to support it.


And for God's sake with the PC version...yes, the PC players got screwed over. And there was an explanation - High Voltage friggin' sucks. Take High Voltage to task over that. They failed to deliver on the promises of their ability to code. As much of a "PC Master Race" gamer that I am, I definitely feel bad for the folks that bought the game only on PC...but I'd take console over PC for a fighting game any day, no questions asked. It sucks that they get the short end of the stick on this, but saying that releasing more DLC will be "shitting on the face of the PC players" is so over-the-top, melodramatically bitter. By that logic, the rest of the fan base should have no further content because a tiny sliver of it won't be able to get it? It sucks, but its reality. They may yet find another outsourced developer to fix the PC version.

Anything really after this point could only be +++.



That is interesting. I figured Fujin and Noob (or Rain I reckon) would be the next obvious choices. Request wise anyway. But I would still find it strange if there aren't any females considered. Was honestly surprised there wasn't at least one in KP2.

Right there with ya. After playing Story Mode, I figured Sindel or Frost was a given. Hell, even Li Mei and Sareena had a good shot back then. Why none of them were used is beyond me, they're all perfect candidates.

Probably because female characters don't sell very well. Which I hate as my 3 mains are Sonya, Kitana and Mileena. I would love for Sindel or Li Mei to get a spot.

At least your mains are all the recurring females... But that might only be the case because of that.

I think Jade, Sindel, and MAYBE Frost/Li Mei would sell well enough, if properly balanced with other highly requested characters.

Just a shame though that they neutered Jade's possible inclusion right out of the gate with Mournful.
