Blue : sub zero ; kitana / frost
Violet : rain ; mileena

Black : noob ; ?
Gray : smoke ; khameleon
White : ? ;

Pink : * ; ?
Brown : tremor ; *

Most of the colours have been taken really. I think thats part of the problem with new character who have a single colour to their costume, it reminds you of old character with that characteristic colour too. Also, it must proove a bit of a problem when designing new costumes for returning characters.

Blue: Kitana, Sub Zero
Green: Reptile, Jade
Yellow: Scorpion, Cyrax, Tanya
Red: Sektor, Skarlett
Purple: Sindel, Mileena (tho sometimes she's more Pink), Rain
Pink: Li Mei, (Mileena)
Orange: Ermac

White: Ashrah
Black: Noob Saibot
Brown: Hmmmm noone is predominantly Brown.

I don't think there should be any new characters with one predominant colour in all their outfits. Fair enough, we needed it in the old days of multiple pallete swaps, to tell one ninja from the next, but it just isn't needed any more.

For the characters who have it already, like Sub Zero, let them keep it. It's been with them for a long time, it has become one of their character traits, and in cases like Sub Zero and Jade, fits them perfectly. This really only applies to fighters who used to be pallete swaps, who didn't start out with their own unique image. No one for ever thinks of, lets say, Johnny Cage as the guy in blue/black, though these have been his main costume colours in most games. No need to go the extra mile and turn MK's fighters into a colouring book.

Yeah, same with Sonya, her original color was/is GREEN and RED, but now she has more then that. They gave her the gray and black, which looks great on her.

I also agree there shouldnt be any new characters with just one predominant color.

I think Ermac's main color scheme is red and not orange.

i think MK7 should be red & black the colors of the new Raiden. since it sounds like there takeing Raiden in a evil Direction and those Colors seem to suit him just fine. Plus the would be a good oprotunity to make Raiden an all powerful Boss.
