Could Stryker, Rain, etc. make a comeback if they had more complex stories?

Do you think Rain, Stryker, Sheeva, etc. could make a good comeback if they had better/more complex storylines, bios, costumes, etc. Post why or why not an unpopular person could comeback and/or post ideas.

I think Rain could make a comeback if they worked harder on his special moves and fatalities. His animality is lame! If he had like a hurricane fatality/special move it'd be pretty cool. They should also work on his storyline.

Stryker could make a comeback if he didnt seem so arrogant and if they changed him from some DUMBass riot cop to BADass cop/swat guy whose loaded with weapons and surprises.

Absolutely!

After seeing Rain's new look, I hope they have a really great story lined up for him. I'd probably like to see him go down a line of being a driven warrior, bent on redemption. Maybe post-Armageddon, it'd be nice if he survived, and went on to become a great solitary Edenian hero.

Stryker could probably potentially be my favourite character.
Deck him out in the black SWAT style gear, and give him a really decent cop-story. Something strong, and maybe less cliche than other beat 'em up police officers. Making him stronger and harder to reflect his training, would be great.

I think they should take Stryker in another direction. In Konquest, he is in Orderealm and mentioned joining the Seaidan Guard. What if while he's there he meets up with Darrius and joins the Rebelion. Stryker as a bad guy.... think about it

I think Sheeva is GONE, if they remade her it'd be like another goro copycat. Even though kintaro is one too, his tiger stipes on his back are just plain cool.

Sektor should come back too, because he's practically in only one game. (MK3, UMK3: Like MK3.1, and MKT: like MK3.2) If his story was more interesting rather than just another lin kuei robot. and make his new costume originally green only all the red looks more like blood/gore/blood stains

btw: some1 comment on sindel *re-post: sektor is also in MKG, forgot about that*

I think Stryker's main flaw was that he was annoying and uncomfortable to play as, so that's what caused his unpopularity. I actually found his characte itself to be pretty cool, I mean he's not some magical, ninja dude, (as cool as those may be) but rather a normal guy. If stryker was easier to play as, he'd be a good character.

The stories alone won't save save them. Their new looks have been greatly accepted and stories and decent gameplay on top of that will seal their acceptance. Hopefully they will have decent enough stories to be credible to those critical of them.
