For all the people who dislike the new characters for having a comic book vibe, I ask you this: where did the MK team get inspiration for their original characters?

"That big guy looks weird on the same game as Scorpion and Sub-Zero." Well, until now, every character has been the same fucking height and build. Be happy that there's some variety. Seriously, every other game has multiple body types and play styles, but the minute MK wants to do the same, I see a good section of whiners who would rather have the same shit ad naseum every game.

On the positive side, I'm genuinely hype and excited to see more. Idgaf if they aesthetically mesh with the poster boys, but rather the way they play. Not only that, but who the hell cares? We're talking about a series with various realms and with those realms would come.....wait for it........unique styles and abilities for the various characters hailing from them! GASP!!!! And J Spit is right. That is exactly where the inspiration came from in the first place. Everyone having the same build and model was a huge gripe of mine, and I wasn't alone in that. Well, they fixed it. And boy did they go above and beyond in fixing it. Loving what I am seeing so far.

I was kinda hoping they wouldn't do X-ray moves that would definitely kill the opponent right then and there.. but I guess over-the-top unreal violence is NRS MO.

The game looks cool, but it reminds me of Injustice. And I understand why it does, but I was hoping for something utterly original. This is just my first impression.

If the MK segment is like the current Infamous and previous Order showcase we'll get to see and interviewer talking with Boon? Or whoever while a screen shows gameplay in background.

Great news! Blue guy's name is Kotal Khan! Cassie Cage is actually daughter of Sonya AND Johnny! Story takes place 40 YEARS after MK9! This game is looking fucking awesome! Stages include The Cove and Outworld Marketplace

Cassie Cage could be a great character if they give her some moves from both her parents. The Marketplace looked impressive. Overall, what they showed in this stream was far more impressive than the gameplay trailer from yesterday. I am glad the timeline is many years in the future as it opens door to add whatever they want to. Boon sure left the door open that the boss character could be Shinnok.
