While hints and trolling are fun, I feel that Boon has been spoiling the recent character reveals. What is the point in hoarding information about a game for months and giving out hints, when you're basically just giving it away??

LMAO! You made my day

kinda agree. those kinds of hints are fine, just not for the character you're about to reveal. it does take away from the "reveal". i can only imagine how many tweets he gets demanding information though lol.

He had to town in down for all the simpletons
Just kidding I don't know why he has been making the hints more obvious now. Maybe he decided to be less cryptic when he realized how deep people were looking into his tweets.
This dude could post a picture of dump he took and people would think its a hint to a character lol
I wont pretend I haven't partaken in some tweet speculations though

So you'd prefer he spend more time concocting the way he drops hints as opposed to using that time perfecting the new game. Okay.

Indubitably! Making a video game is a big waste of time, Edward should instead better spend that time coming up with new and annoying ways to irritate fans with cryptic hints.

I will rock you.

Ed Boons teasing has bothered me in the past but recently I have liked his hints.

Dude looks good for 49, ha ha
Doesn't matter if his hints are too obvious or not, they were going to be revealed anyway, instead of complaining you should be appreciative he doesn't hold off on any character reveals until a day before or even once the game is released.
You people are really sorry sorts.

If Boon wants to be vague, he'll be vague. He's a master at fucking with people's minds. If his hints are easy, it's because he wants them to be. It's not a coincidence that they got easier the closer to the reveal of the character.

I consider these hints and not trolling. These hints were a little obvious to most MK fans but I'm kinda grateful for that. Anyone remember the super unlockables from a while back? That was PURE trolling!

he is not a troll and never has been. he makes obvious hints all the time and sometimes he makes obscurer hints.
He did the same thing with Raiden. "The reveal is going to be shocking" or something like that.
Honestly, the guy likes to have fun. I like that he interacts himself with the fans. Although I wish many would stop taking everything he says so seriously. He's having fun with his fans, which you don't normally see a whole lot with other companies (unless I'm just that blind or because I don't do twitter).
What he definitely needs to work on his trimming them eyebrows. Sure they might be his signature... but holy mumba jumba them big eyebrows!
"Oh Mr. Boon. What big eyebrows you have!"
"The better to make troll-like expressions to my fans!"

While he doesn't look like that, when you stop to think the release date of the first Mortal Kombat game, he should've been 12 years old by that time to be 35 years old now :P

This. First, people complained about how vague or "misleading" Boon's Twitter posts are. He then posts a completely obvious hint that no fan could misinterpret, and now it's complaints about the hints being "too easy" or "spoiling" the experience.
It's an issue with how fans of games in general react to news and reveals. People are very entitled, and will complain bitterly in the absence of any news or updates for an upcoming game. When the devs finally release promotional media, they switch over to tearing apart everything they have been given. It's easy to think that, because you intend on buying a game, you are entitled to constant updates that are in line exclusively with what you as the consumer want.
Folks need to remember that what they're potentially investing in is the vision of the people who created this game. Games that try too hard to placate the fans and supporters tend to fall apart in development or churn out incredibly bland, redundant sequels.
In short, keep on trolling, Boon. The fan community is so easily worked up and frustrated, and he must be getting a real kick out of watching people pick apart his punctuation and capitalization of words on Twitter. "omg he used an upper case m in something, mileena is in?!" It's like when the Beatles realized their fans were absolutely insane and began trolling them with songs like "I Am the Walrus".
